Sweet Persimmons Vintage Clothing
Having the opportunity to profile Amandia Aurand’s small business, Sweet Persimmons Vintage Clothing, was both a pleasure and a privilege. After years of friendship I have witnessed the evolution of Amandia’s dream and how she has continued to use her love and natural abilities to create, inspire, and work through whatever life throws her way. Amandia’s love of fashion shines through in every piece she adds to her shop, which has been incredible to see. Sweet Persimmons Vintage Clothing has touched the lives of so many members of Amandia’s community. She even selected me to model some of her favorite pieces, all while we laughed and sipped champagne at the beach. I’m so excited to share Sweet Persimmons Vintage Clothing with the community, especially during the current socioeconomic climate created by COVID-19. While small businesses struggle, Amandia has again exemplified here ability to both overcome adversity while also giving back to her community. The following interview was conducted in her beautiful backyard, outside of the studio which houses her entire collection of vintage finds and trusty sewing machine.

Brilliant Earth 2020 - Should I Buy Conflict Free Diamonds
Conflict free diamonds are diamonds that are sourced in ways that do not support or finance rebel movements. What Kind of Jewelry is the Best for Young Girls?
Marilyn Monroe once said "diamonds are a girl's best friend." But not everyone can afford diamonds, so let's modify that saying a little; "Jewelries are a girl's best friend." There is an innate bond between a female and the fundamental feelings of beauty, elegance, class and worth that wearing a good piece (or pieces) of jewelry evokes, and if the female happens to be a young girl, the effects are even more magnified, as young girls are similar to flowers just budding and they need all the affirmations of love and worth they can get, and giving them the appropriate kind of jewelry at the appropriate times helps a lot.

Wearing a watch is still in vogue – Choose your best model from Garmin watch
It's 2020, and we are residing in the technology era. Our daily lives get governed by technology and advanced online applications. And this has also modified our habits to a considerable extent. For instance, students used to wear a watch when they appeared for mock exam tests. Today, they carry their Smartphones instead to check the time. For a while, the habit of wearing a watch took a backseat. People thought that using their mobile phones to check the time and set the alarm is easier than using a watch for the same. However, that didn't erase the habit of wearing a watch for many. In fact, with designer and smartwatch models, people are getting back to wearing watches.

Thrifting Tips!
I couldn't tell you how many times I've been in the mall, school, restaurant or any public place and been stopped to gratefully recive a compliment on an $8 jacket, $4 shoes or $12 dress and respond with "Thanks! It's thrifted!" There's nothing better than the look of surprise and facination I get in return!

Survey Finds Most Americans Are Emotional Shoppers
Have you ever experienced buyer’s remorse? It’s the phenomena that occurs when we make a purchase, then later come to regret it for one reason or another. Typically, buyer’s remorse stems from the realization that the money we spent on a product could have been put towards something more important, like a savings account or retirement fund.
