Tiny Purse Tyranny
I feel like this trend that I absolutely despise has been overshadowed by 2020's baffling low-rise pants, exposed thongs, and of course, the incorrect mask (it goes over the nose). This trend that I am about to mention has been hiding. I'll see it every now and then, but never quite in its full force. But, it does have the potential for a comeback, so I'm hoping to squash that possibility right now.

Bye Bye Bermudas
It's the Wild Thornberry vibes for me... You know what I mean? How Eliza rocked the cargo bermudas with the tucked in tank? Cute for a safari or beach, not for boardrooms even if they are virtual. It's also the way they sit ever so slightly 6 inches above the knee, giving us that subtle knee action we've just always wanted. *eye roll* The length alone is uneasy to look at. They just look long, though they’re shorts. I get they're meant to be longer shorts, but honestly, they feel closer to being shorter capris and for some reason, that's just unsettling to me. They also say to me, “I’m trying to be formal, but I want to be casual and I’m trying to be cool but need to be warm too.” They’re confused, I’m confused, and I don’t like it.

The Eyes have it
Fashion Trend... if there is ever a phrase that is the polar opposite of me, it would be 'Fashion Trend'. Sweat pants, stained T shirts, jeans, yoga pants with cowboy or rubber boots, zero makeup..that's the face I present to the world when not at work. Fashion implies style, popularity, and glamour.. things I with which I have nothing in common. Some fashion trends such as 80s big hair with the accompanying gallons of lacquer required to keep it in place have mercifully gone away. Other trends, such as wasp waisted corset wearing, we look back on with shock and a sense of distaste. A so called fashion trend that no one saw coming in 2020 was.... masks. Fashion trend? or necessity? Why not both, some would say.

Eliminating Vulgar Shirts
In 2020, we have seen a diversity of different style of fashion across the globe. We had (and still have) casual business fashion, gothic fashion, grunge-like fashion, western fashion, hip hop fashion, sporty fashion, bohemian fashion (having a major heart eyes moment), and even, believe it or not, anime style fashion. There are other styles, and I am sure that I have seen them all. I have seen camouflage rompers, spandex miniskirts, thick thigh-high socks, floral button up men’s shirts, Fedora hats, cheeky jean shorts, and even pants on the ground. The list is endless. By the way, I am not hinting which ones from the list I like or dislike.

A One Legged Cat Suit Has No Home in My Closet
There has certainly been a lot of interesting fashion trends over the years. Some statements seem to keep recycling through the decades like those who are mad for plaid or the hippie tie dye trend. I can tolerate those in small doses and personally have indulged. Other fads like Uggs which I cannot stand and have never owned, and the low sagging pants with half the derriere exposed get no love from me. Overall, the cringe worthy fringe seen on everything from purses to clothing articles is just about the worse thing I have ever seen, second only to the one legged cat suit.
