Why Gun Control Is a Fraud
One of my best friends taught me how to load a shotgun about a month back. He placed the giant, heavy firearm in my hands and guided me through each step, placing my fingers on the safety, the trigger, and the belt. Once he walked me through the motions a few times, he stepped back and let me try it myself. I placed the bullet into the shotgun and cocked it. Each time I did it correctly, he would smile at me and say, "Now, you have a loaded firearm."

10 Things Trump Has Undone
Donald Trump is a brutal reminder of just how much ugliness exists beneath America’s shiny veneer. Behind all the culture, technology, and inspirational tales that the US exports to the rest of the world is a spring of misogyny and White resentment that allowed the least qualified presidential candidate in American history to become the most powerful man in the world. The things Trump has undone will echo in eternity as a testament to humanity's ignorant viciousness toward itself.

Why Veganism Sounds Like a Bad Idea
I will always be an interested advocate for the well-being of animals. Today in this world there is an unnecessary slaughtering of animals which, upon inspection, is overwhelmingly unethical when you look into it. Farm animals such as chickens, pigs, and cows to name a few are bred for slaughter; from being beaten and tortured to injections of hormones and in a dairy cow’s case, forced pregnancy. These are only but few of my many concerns of helpless animals. Every year, over 56 billion land animals alone are subject to slaughter. This is not just an animal welfare issue, this is also an environmental and world hunger issue. California is currently in a drought, yet somehow, they find a way to feed all livestock. Kip Anderson Howard, director and producer of the movie Cowspiracy, states that “you can produce 37,000 lbs. of vegetables on 1.5 acres of land but only 375 lbs. of beef on the same [amount] of land.” The main point of his film was based on the theory that we can solve world hunger if all farmers across the world use that plot of land used for farm animals and instead apply it to producing foods that we can feed to the hungry From the environmental perspective, our precious rainforest which statistics conclude, "If we continue on this path, as much as 55 percent of the amazon rainforest could disappear by the year 2030” (Bennet).

Ways Donald Trump Is Making Himself Richer as the President
Donald Trump is a bigot who's been accused of sexual misconduct by 19 women. It's important to keep that information in the public's consciousness to balance out all the privilege afforded to him by America's classist, racist, sexist society. How much privilege? Enough that there are many ways Donald Trump is making himself richer in the White House through a mix of conflicts of interest and nepotism with seemingly no oversight to stop him. He might as well be printing money in the treasury and putting it straight into his pockets, right where he keeps his Big Macs and his tattered copy of The Turner Diaries. JK. Trump doesn't read anything that isn't full of his own name. So maybe he's reading this list of some of the ways he's getting richer in DC!

The Pliable Nature of Social Media: A Gateway or a Barrier?
Social media is one of today's most powerful tools. And although some people embrace the emergence of this tool by actively participating in different platforms, the ones who choose to cautiously observe it from a distance are onto something as well.

Oi, You, Are You Gonna Vote?
The result of the 2017 UK General Election was really one of those wig-snatching moments. After David Cameron resigned, Theresa May took over as Prime Minister and a snap election was declared. Seeking a mandate of her own, the Prime Minister came out of the election not only losing seats, but losing her own edges, cheekily snatched by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. May's less "strong and stable" party (and scalp) had to then partner up with the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) to form a government.

The Double Standard in America
Yes, believe it or not, there are double standards in America. We live with it everyday, yet we do nothing about it. We have cops killing unarmed African Americans, which we turn a blind eye to. We then have children murdering other children in school hallways. We get in an uproar then, but when it comes time to do something, we cling to our firearms for fear that some government official is going to walk in our house and take them out of our hands. When a person of Middle Eastern descent does something wrong, we automatically claim terrorism. When a white male does it, it's the cry of a troubled young man. Where do we find the happy medium?

By Unintelligent Design
One has to wonder ever since the 1990s how the United States plummeted from being the stalwart nation of the world to now a mere shadow of its former self. Some believe we have only ourselves to blame for the election of Donald Trump, while others put it more bluntly on the power brokers of both political parties and the main stream media. Maybe it was all by unintelligent design. We have to remember that the Democratic party did everything possible including fracturing the rule of law by thwarting Bernie Sanders' nomination. Then there was of course the media frenzy covering Trump's swagger, profanity, and uncouth demure. Lest we forget all the millions of dollars lavishly spent in securing the Republican nomination. No other candidate could come close in media coverage of the Trump campaign.

Hashtag Un-Friendly
I've come to terms with my life where I am not going to be part of what "socializing" has become unless it's socially revolutionizing our society for the better; but instead, it's all about ridiculous things or challenges trending. Not going to lie you, I've been part of the problem, but once I noticed that people are slaves to their social media pages or just living in their own social fantasies, we don't really revolve anything unless we put action into those hashtags. You get me?
