controversies
It seems every time one racially-charged incident ends, a gender or religious controversy takes its place; Ruminate on the issues dividing our nation and world.
How to Influence Culture (and Work to Eradicate Racism)
Donald Trump is a showman. He's an appalling and revolting racist clown who shocks, amuses, and offends his audience to stay relevant. He is a circus player that stands on a platform built not of government and policy, but of fear and blind loyalty. There's no one who better understands the idea that "There's no such thing as bad publicity" than Donald Trump.

Misplaced Outrage
The “outrage” of indignant and blustering virtue signalers in the USA has reached fever pitch these days, and nothing triggers the mentally delicate like the current and trendy topic of outrage over “separating parents from their children” in overcrowded alien detention centers on our border.

The New Most Hated Class
There was a time in the history of this country when people felt safe and assured when there was an officer in their presence. When kids came up to us and wanted to be us, and their parents wanted us to talk to them and give them assurances that everything will be okay. When having us around meant safety, and you could rest easy knowing nothing would happen to your party or event. That time was a fun time to be in law enforcement. Not for the respect, but for the looks on people's faces for being there, willing to place everything on the line for them. And you knew you would do it in a heartbeat and would be glad to do it if it came down to that.

Ageism
Ageism. Is this a real problem or a media creation? Is there really conflict between youth and age? The media is fond to claiming that young people blame the older generation for the sorry state of the world. It never seems to credit the same older people, with anything that is good. The media is filled with claims that younger people want the older generation out of “power” so they can take over and make the world a better place. Whenever there is an issue, from Britain leaving the EU to road traffic accidents, the media proclaims that it is old people causing problems for younger ones.

Why the EU Has to Go
Why the European Union should be broken up. The existing EU organisation is a failure, if viewed only from the perspective of the majority of indigenous people. It is a success to those who are, or have been, employed by it, those making money from the various reported frauds, which extract money from it and it is a success, to those politicians who have gained power from it.

Drug Epidemic
Most of us remember the tragic event of 9/11. Some of us even had friends and family who were impacted by this event. Thousands died in the event and there are probably still some unknown deaths. Imagine having a 9/11 event every 17 days. That is how many people die from drug overdose DAILY...

The Horrifying Reality of Child Marriage in the United States
A small, 11 year old girl, Sherry Johnson became pregnant. She was raped by a 20-year-old from her church. Instead of dealing with the police, her family and church decided it would be best for the 11 year old to marry her rapist. Her parents drove her to the next county over, which had a judge likely to give them a marriage license. Sherry had no choice in marrying her 20 year old rapist. Shortly after she married, she stopped going to elementary school. Surprisingly, this is much more common than you would think. When you think of child brides, the US doesn’t necessarily come to mind. The sad truth is that child marriage is legal in nearly every state.
