Grenfell Tower Fire and the Dominate Ideology
Those responsible, along with their allies within society, are now furiously denying their involvement, blaming everything from EU to the opposition, whilst trying to discredit those who fight for the victims within the political arena. For a saving of two pounds per square inch, the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organization who were responsible for Grenfell Tower refurbishment failed to install fire-resistant cladding. The £8.7 million refurbishment also failed to install a sprinkler system, or even cover basic fire safety equipment. Even when the local authority is “doing the right thing” by evacuating and rehousing those affected, media outlets insinuate that these measures are unfair and unjust. Despite the obvious political choices made to save money at the expense of providing people with lower incomes with safe housing and its repercussions, it is those who stand for the poor and want change who are in the wrong.

Why Can Democrats Take Heart After Losing Four Special Congressional Elections in a Row?
Much has been made of the Democratic loss in the special House election held for Georgia's 6th District near Atlanta. It has been the most expensive campaign for a U.S. House seat in, like, forever; upwards of $50 million US. The reason so much was spent (most from sources outside of GA) is that Jon Ossoff, the Democratic candidate, was not supposed to have a chance of winning this district; no Democrat has for the last 40 years. Further, this district has produced two of the most conservative legislators that Congress has seen, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Rep. Tom Price (now charged with dismantling the Affordable Care Act a.k.a Obamacare) as Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Trump administration. Yet win it he almost did in the guerrilla primary in a field of 16+ candidates with 48.1% of the vote. (If he had received 50.001%, he would have won in the 1st round.) The closest runner-up, Karen Handel, a conservative out of the Price mold, received just 19.8%.

Dear Black People
Before slavery, the inferiority of Africans did not exist and definitely not in the way it is perpetrated now. People from different parts of the world were not reduced down to the basic epithets of ‘black’ and ‘white’ but were referred to by their nation name. Slavery changed all that, making it necessary to label African people in a particular way to fuel the trade and stem any early counter arguments against it. The problem is, people across the world have taken these lies as gospel and that is the basis for much of modern racism against African peoples.

So What Will Happen Next For Us In the UK?
There is apprehension with nervous indications all around a bar that is close to our House of Commons in Westminster. We have just had a 'Day of Rage' following on from the Grenfell Tower disaster in North Kensington. There weren't all that many protesters, although there were quite a few noisy Blacks and lefty White agitators with frequently illiterate messages on placards, such as: "May's coalition of milionares & bigots will not give truth or justice." "Our lifes end the day we become silent" and "Why do tragedys always happen under Tories?"

Dear Donald, Thank You for Keeping Media Companies Busy
Dear Donald, Although I might not particularly agree with your political views or the actions in which you have taken in office, I owe you a thank you. The things that you do and say are all over various platforms of media. While the context in which they consist of do not always stem from the best of topics and reason for being covered by media, you keep us media savvy people quite busy. As an intern at a media based, content-driven company, it is nearly impossible to not read and write about you. Whether it's tweeting, press conferences and interviews, or simply taking video and photographs of you during your daily routine, we are always on our toes waiting for you to say or do something worth covering. Being that you are always tweeting, releasing statements, and barely attempting to hide from those with any form of camera, it is not difficult for you to be an everyday part of our media coverage.

Fade to Black
When most people see a spider in their house, more often than not, their first reaction is, "Oh shit? Where's my slipper!" or something along those lines. Oddly enough, though, "house" spiders do not aim to harm us (humans), they're simply just trying to get from point A to point B in their ordinary, daily lives as insects. They're just trying to do what spiders do--eat bugs, give birth to smaller baby spiders and, of course, avoid becoming a tiny gush stain on the mean end of a size 10.5 slipper).

Moving Tribute From the Whole Country
The hardest thing of all is when you are a victim of any kind of trauma that we hear about every day; most importantly the recent events that we have heard about, seen, helped, and applauded. This is the only way to go about it when something like this has made an impact on so many lives recently; if it wasn't for Ariana Grande fighting back, raising money for the Manchester victims at her concert bringing everyone together, Simon Cowell may not have taken a leaf out of her book as a father. He can understand how horrible it must have been to lose a child in that way; I could be wrong but I'm giving him the credit on the count that he brought singers in and most importantly added a touch of community spirit to the song that has been recently released.

Libertarians
I know, I know. You’re probably picturing some country whack-job in flannel in front of a pile of MRE’s and ammunition. Well, that is a bullshit image that the media paints of Libertarianism the same way they painted Bernie supporters as entitled whiny brats. We are not Republicans in any sense of the word. Nor do we support racism, religious ideology, or legislated morality. The only thing that we even remotely agree with Republicans on is cutting spending, but for much different reasons. We are also not anarchists. At least not all of us. The phrase is “Minarchism,” which is the idea of only having a government big enough to provide the rights and structure allowed by our Constitution. So, here is a break-down of what I believe, and why in the hopes that even if you don’t agree you can see where I am coming from.

The Wonder Woman of Tel Aviv
There’s a billboard on the Tel Aviv highway that proclaims “We Love You” under a picture of Wonder Woman. More accurately, under a picture of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. In Israel, she’s kind of a big deal. And if you’re wondering why all you have to do is watch her late night interviews. She mentions her home country in all of them. Jimmy Fallon? Check. Kimmel? Check. Even Conan. And Conan didn’t even interview her. During a segment where she takes him through her workout regimen, he mentions that she was trained in the Israeli army (she served for two years). Now imagine you live in a country like Israel, where United States exposure to your culture is limited. And if somehow you do manage to break into the cultural sphere, odds are the focus isn’t really on where you’re from. It might be mentioned in an offhand question - “You’re from so-and-so, what do you think of America?” - but the bulk of the questions will be fun personal anecdotes about your breakfast, your kids, or that time you met that other famous person and you were just so star struck. But there’s Gal. On American TV. Talking about Israel.
