Why Westbrook Winning a Title Will Be a Miracle in Itself
At the start of the season, I saw that the Oklahoma City Thunder MIGHT have found an answer for Kevin Durant. They MAY challenge the Golden State dynasty in the Playoffs. They COULD rival the new Big 3 in Oakland. What transpired, was that every player that has left the Thunder has gotten BETTER, and it is all down to one man. Number 0. Now don't get me wrong, before the Warriors eventual title win with Kevin Durant, I thought that OKC were prime to make another title run. I thought that this was the new Big 3. I thought that the Miami dynasty with James, Wade, and Bosh was in jeopardy. I thought the West was finally making a comeback and taking away the East dominance from LeBron. I wasn't to be. Harden left for Houston and is an MVP candidate, Durant at Golden State and is a Champion and Finals MVP, and Westbrook is chasing rebounds and solo accomplishments.

A Vegas Cup? It Seems Quite Possible
Something strange has been happening in the beautiful world of hockey. And no, I don’t mean the Capitals actually winning in the first round of the playoffs. I mean the expansion team who has a horrible name (but this is a story for later), the Vegas Golden Knights, and their amazing potential to win a Stanley cup. This has never been done by a first year franchise, might I remind you. Now, by now they only have a 3-1 series lead, but in the realm of sports that's nothing, and it can easily be busted and lost.

Something Silly This Way Comes (And Probably Goes Very Quickly)
May 8, 2018 will most likely not be a date that lives on in the minds of Mets fans forever. Or Reds fans for that matter. It most certainly will not sting like the "Midnight Massacre" of June 15, 1977. The day the Mets shipped Seaver to the Reds for four players that no one in New York had ever heard of. Because, at 33, Seaver was called a "headache" by M. Donald Grant. Seaver thought he deserved more than his $225,000 salary (ya think?).

Best BBCOR Baseball Bats in 2018
Everyone knows the sound of a bat. Whether it's wood or aluminum, its noise is distinct. Each player has a different sound when they make contact, depending on where they hit the ball. At one time, in the major leagues, the most common bat used was Louisville Slugger. But things have changed across all levels of the game. Aluminum bats are now equipped with modern technologies to improve a player's game. These bats now include vibration reduction technology, larger barrels, and unique grips. Some of the top switch-hitters of all time may have trained with these bats. While BBCOR bats are primarily used for high school and college level ball, they can also be used for lower levels with certification. Here are the best BBCOR baseball bats in 2018.

The Generation of Buried Talent
I heard something today that stopped me in my tracks. As those close to me may know, I run a basketball personal training business called First Seed Athletics. I was on my way out of a training session, proud of the great work my athlete had just accomplished. We had been focusing heavily on footwork going towards the rim, which takes some serious attention to detail. The next group in the facility was a soccer team, and they began by running sprints. One player’s mom dropped him off late to practice and waited with him while the boy put on his shoes. As she looked in the gym, I heard the woman tell her son something that is far too revealing of how our next generation is being raised. “Looks like they are running hard already, better slow down putting on your shoes.” WHAT!?

10 Best-Selling Baseball Batting Gloves
I often marvel at the abilities of MLB hitters. They see triple-digit fastballs, 12-to-6 curveballs, nasty sliders, and various other pitches meant to make them look silly. They don't always come out ahead, but being able to even make contact with those pitches is almost a superhuman feat. The best hitters, the Mike Trout's, Bryce Harper's, and Jose Altuve's, all are able to take those pitches and spray them all over the ballpark.
