Parasailing in Phuket
If you have visited any of the major beaches in Phuket then surely you have noticed there are an abundance of parasailing operations working from sunrise until sunset. They spend the day pulling tourists around the coves, dangling from a parachute for a quick thrill. Quick is the key word here, the average ride is about 4 minutes long.

Phuket Aquarium
The Phuket Aquarium is located in the mid-western part of Phuket Thailand in Cape Panwa. It offers a variety of aquatic life from around Thailand and Phuket. Outside there are some mangrove trees and other vegetation as well as a sea turtle habitat. The aquarium boasts that it is educational, although I didn't find myself learning anything while I was there. It is however an inexpensive way to spend some time out of the sun and is a good value for the price. For a couple hundred baht you can easily spend an hour or 2 walking the interior and exterior of the aquarium viewing aquatic life in tanks.

Discovering Japan
When finding out I would be going to Japan I knew there were so many things we needed to explore. Japan is such a fascinating country I want to explore everything. With Nick being here for 2 years I already know he will be able to find lots for us to do. Before leaving, however, I had to do some research of my own. I wanted to find the best destinations for us to explore. Not only that, but Japan is very different from America, so I wanted to make sure I didn't make a fool of myself, or worse, show anyone any disrespect.

Dino Sea World Park
Dino Sea World Park is a large water park located minutes North of the island province of Phuket in Thailand in Phang Nga. It takes about an hour an a half to get there from Patong if there is no traffic and you leave early in the morning. Dino Sea World Park hosts a variety of activities for the whole family. For kids there is a massive play area with many small water slides and mini obstacle courses. For adults there are some larger slides as well as a giant inflated obstacle course and a large, 10 meter deep pool with a Tyrannosaurus Rex high dive platform.

Living on the island of Phuket in Thailand for years I often found that there were many blogs listing places to go and things to do that were either out dated or the people writing them had absolutely no experience in the location. One of the things I was looking for was places to view a sunrise so I could take some morning photographs. I found several blogs with bullet style lists that just regurgitated the same places over and over again. It almost seemed like these blogs were just listing places they themselves had found using an online search and posted the lists simply to get views.

New Years in Japan
