Selfie Absorbed
Meg was a beautiful grad student, about a year older than me. We were laying on the floor of her dorm room at Columbia University. She rolled toward me and we kissed. With my free hand, I took a selfie at the perfect moment. The photo looked as if someone else snapped it.

What I Learned from Travelling as a Digital Nomad for 5 Months
Whilst I have technically been a digital nomad for the last three years, i.e., living in a country where I don’t hold any working or residency visas whilst making money online, it was only this year that I fully lived the experience. I spent five months travelling through Turkey, the Netherlands, and Germany, whilst teaching English online.

Snowy Mountain Solitude
The air felt fresher than it did in Michigan, taking that initial step out of the Colorado airport. My husband and I were kind of blindsided by the nuance of feeling different, not knowing that later it wouldn’t be such a good thing and we’d be sick from the change in altitude. It wasn’t the vacation we intended on taking, but it was the one that we didn’t know we needed. We were planning to stay in Cancun, Mexico but thanks to the company setting up our reservations it didn’t all necessarily work out despite speaking to the CEO whom I refer to as, “Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater”. He didn’t like it when I called him that, but at that point he’d already ruined our hotel stay. Call it serendipity, but it would be that night that an article bounced across my phone, claiming a successful mass shooting in the hotel he failed to book us.

Ten Tips from a Middle-Aged Woman Travelling on a Dime
By the time most of us reach the age of forty-nine, we are relatively well-established; living in our own homes, whether owned or rented, have a little (or large) nest egg that we are growing as we work towards retirement, sometimes we share all of this with a partner or kids, possibly live close to family, and have carved out a stable little existence for ourselves — I, however, have none of these things. Instead, I have been visa hopping since 2019, travelling with very little income and seeing the world. How do I do this? It’s simple: I’m an online English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher.

Calling London from the U.S. A Guided Tour 2023
Going on one of London's numerous guided tours may be the only way to see everything because there is so much to see in the city. It is a city in England that dates back two millennia and is built along the Thames River. Choosing where to begin a guided tour of London is the most challenging part.

Rome Travel Guide
No, this is not your typical guide where I’ll tell you that a fanny pack might not be your style but it’s mandatory in Rome (it is, but… hey, your choice). This is not your grandma’s travel guide of must-see destinations – yeah…please go to the Vatican City even if you are not religious or Catholic. This is too epic to pass up.
