Couples Travel–There's nothing quite like exploring the world with your significant other, though it has its challenges.
Nostalgia ‘99
The year is 1999. What are smart phones? A tablet? Wait, you’re telling me a tablet is a kind of computer? I don’t believe it! That’s the attitude the wifey and I are taking into our winter weekend getaway this January 2020. There’s talk of some coronavirus, but I’m sure it’ll be nothing.

Let's Sail Away
This was the moment they had been waiting for. Nina and George had worked countless hours prepping and planning for the moment they would set sail and cruise the deep blue sea. For two years they had spent sleepless nights and every penny to upgrade their classic monohull sailboat into the beautiful vessel she had become. They worried about their futures, as they knew they were leaving behind everyone they loved and eliminating the minimal income they earned. Nonetheless, they believed it was now or never. Today was not a day to fear, but a day to live!

Two Bars at Cade's Cove
Up until last year, when we wanted to go on a short trip of four or five days, we usually headed for the beach. We like the mountains, but given the choice between the two, we prefer the beach for short trips. Add to that, we have a son and his family who live near the beach and a daughter who has lived in Colorado for the past fifteen years where there are plenty of mountains.

Home Is Wherever I'm With You.
Ilooked at this challenge and wondered if I should write about that teeny town in Wisconsin I grew up in. Or, maybe that other town in Wisconsin I currently live. Both have some great features. Lakes. Some parks. A few attractions and restaurants of course. Either might be adequate but does my heart get moved by either place? Not really, so I scrapped those two options. I then found myself asking, 'where do I consider my home?'

Our Camping Trip That Didn't Happen
Kathy and I began talking about beach trips and how nice it would be to have a tan before the first one. Since the next day was going to be warm and sunny, I said, “I’ll go to Publix in the morning and get some fried chicken. We’ll take the dogs to the top of the mountain where the sun shines most of the day, and we will begin working on our beach tans.” It sounded good to Kathy, so the next day was set.

The Feeding of the Street Cows
It was the winter of 2019, and I was finally embarking on a journey I had been wanting to take for several years. I was finally going to India - the land of wonder, and the birthplace of yoga. Even with modern aircraft, the journey to the other side of the world is a long one. Our first stop would be Japan for a one night layover, then off to Delhi, India the next day. Arriving at the Delhi airport was nothing spectacular. Lack of help for arriving passengers and a dismally slow line to check the printed visa-entry requirements (it wasn't electronic) was the norm. Still, I was finally in India with my wife. We made it.

How to plan your Honeymoon in Maldives
1.Choose The Perfect Season To Plan Your Maldives Honeymoon Once you both decide that the Maldives is the perfect destination for your honeymoon, decide on which time of the year you want to visit the islands. As a tropical destination, the archipelago is blissfully sunny all year through and you can look forward to walking along the sandy shores under sunny skies no matter which time of year you visit. The islands experience only two seasons; the wet and dry. Monsoonal rains occur between May and October bringing sudden showers and choppy seas. However, it rarely rains all day during the wet season, and those of you looking for a budget honeymoon will find hotel rates are much less during this season. June to July is when the rains are at their highest. And are perfect for scuba divers to observe all the activity taking place below the waves. High season is between November and April promising loads of golden sunshine, blue skies and lots of tourist activities.

How Traveling Can Destroy a Relationship
Some travel destinations look difficult on paper. Others are difficult. Especially for a young couple traveling together. When I first went to India, I went with my long-term boyfriend at the time. We had lived together for three years and been together since high school. I'm sad to tell you this story because it did not end well.
