Summer Travel to Warwick Castle in England Makes Great Educational Experience for Kids
What could be more painful to a kid than hearing that the weekend will be spent at an upstate Renaissance Fair. On the other hand, recreating the middle ages becomes a lot more interesting when a trip to England can provide ample infrastructure of the era and the living history to go with it. Sort of reporting from England, I recently traveled overseas to visit my English Girlfriend, and Warwick Castle in Warwick, England was a Saturday destination.

Most people know that French is a very popular language that has a large influence on the world today. What a lot of people don’t know however is exactly how many countries around the world speak this wonderful language. In total, there are 29 countries where French is an official language. Leaving It All Behind Is Never Easy
On September 21, 2019, I arrived in my new home in Falmouth, England. I left friends, family, and late night taco bell trips behind in America; Dallas, Texas to be specific. I did it for good reasons. My husband, who I met online nearly nine years ago, is British. It was easier for me to move to him, then it would have been for him to move to me, so that’s what we did. We were married this past June after numerous back-and-forth-visits, and after a few agonizing months of waiting for a UK Spouse Visa to process, I was on the plane over.

Monaco: All the Money in the World
Even the toilet has a beautiful view. The window is open, and the smell of the bright sea drifts in to mingle with the faint tang of ancient piss. Down below, the Rock, the old citadel of the Grimaldi family, juts out into the Mediterranean. Red roofs glow above the white walls. The sun shines on the sheer cliff face on which the old city of Monaco sits, turning the bare rock a blinding white. I finish and zip up and step out with dripping hands, back into the sun.

Alternatively Parisian
Prior to moving to Paris I had a very clear image of what my life was going to be like for six months; endless baguettes, a new-acquired sense of fashion and thousands of cafe cremes in cute places. It is safe to say that I was excited to unleash my inner french woman, one of class, elegance and a certain je-ne-sais-quoi.

Prague: Fear and Beauty
We came late to Prague. By the time we made our way to the red-roofed city, the path to the east had already been well beaten by hordes of budget travelers and lairy British stag parties. An influx of foreign tourists has pushed Prague close to the top of the list of Europe's most visited cities, with all the opportunities and problems that kind of popularity creates for the local residents.

Anastylosis. Top Story - September 2019.
It’s not that I didn’t want to go to Warsaw. It’s just that I’d heard Krakow was better. But we go where the budget airlines will take us. We go where we can afford to go. And any new place has its appeal. I generally find something to like about every European city I’ve visited. So we went to Warsaw anyhow.

Wild Night in Russia
It was my last night in St. Petersburg. Man, I enjoyed the city so much. I met lots of people, enjoyed the sights, and I just didn't want the trip to end. I was there on business, but I had plenty of time for leisure. Well, my last night ended on a real bang and I could have lost my life. I really was lucky, and this story does sound like a movie. I still can't believe what transpired that evening.

August
How do you explain what home is when home is not just in one place? How do you warm up your heart when it is scattered across oceans? As a woman of no rooted purpose, my seedlings are embedded in the soils of the places that make me most happy. And it is in those places I choose to flourish. To surrender to the likeness of any weather and abide by the nourishment that I am given from the people who walk into my life.

Quillan: Evening in the Garden
Quillan: Evening in the Garden "There is no geographical solution to an emotional problem." Tony Soprano said that. But he’s not the only one. There is no shortage of shark-hearted platitude peddlers ready to tell you that you can’t escape your problems by leaving them, even as they offer you another pill. And like all truisms, it’s sometimes true. A schizophrenic will still hallucinate in Helsinki or Helena. The malignant narcissist will poison Yonkers and Yekaterinburg equally.
