Challenge
Is an Israel-Hezbollah war fast approaching? . Content Warning.
Since October 7 of last year, a savage battle has been happening between Hamas and Israeli powers in Gaza. Starting from the beginning of the conflict, there have been counter-assaults between Israel and the Lebanese Shia outfitted bunch Hezbollah. Examiners likewise expected that war could begin between them out of the blue.

Habits that increase the risk of stroke . Content Warning.
Stroke mainly affects the human brain. A stroke occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is cut off and the cells die. It is possible to reduce this risk by making small lifestyle changes. Brain stroke is a deadly disease in our lives. In the case of stroke, on the one hand, there is the horror of death between the patient and his relatives. Those who do not die are in a dark state of paralysis.

Where To Find Unofficial Vocal Challenges
Introduction One of the reasons many of us joined Vocal are the Challenges. You can find the latest ones here: While we are all on Vocal to write and share and make a little money when challenges have been met sometimes we want a different prompt or challenge.

Hannah's Challenge. Top Story - June 2024.
I joined Vocal two years ago, a prick of enthusiasm beseeching me to throw caution to the wind, pay the readies and have a stab at a long stagnated pleasure. It worked remarkably well. I dipped in my toe, finding the water a little cooler than I had hoped, but as I stood there up to my ankles, I realised it was rather invigorating, and by the time I was up to my knees, it was pleasingly tepid. I dove in and swam out to where others were tossing balls about and wrestling over lilos and proceeded to have a whale of a time splashing about, sometimes missing my footing or getting water in my eye, but sometimes turning elegant somersaults and graceful dives.

From Illiteracy to Authorship
Transitioning from illiteracy to becoming a published author in just a few short years might seem like an insurmountable challenge. However, my journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, dedication, and the human spirit's capacity to overcome significant obstacles. This transformation occurred in an era before artificial intelligence (AI) became a publicly recognized tool, making my path a blend of traditional learning methods and relentless self-improvement. Here’s my story.

Fucked Up Fairytale - ***UPDATE***
Many, many moons ago (okay, maybe only two), I set you lovely lot a challenge: Unfortunately, my workload continued to increase, and I couldn't carve out enough time to sit down and judge this properly. Now, I could have half-arsed it, but I really did not want to do that. I have read a lot of these entries now (although I stopped letting on I'd done that, preferring to wait until the judging was finished) and they are, not to put too fine a point on it, fucking brilliant.

Bleeding Tired: Reflections on "A Story Every Day" So Far (May Edition)
The Nuts & Bolts As of the last day in May: we were 152 days in to the yearlong Story Every Day challenge, which started on 1st January. Nearly half way there! Success! I've posted a short story every day this year so far. My word count for May: 14,413. This included all my micros, sans the authors note, my look back at April, a poem, and a couple of challenge entries (one official, and one unofficial). Stats: My monthly peak at my stats shows that my read count has dropped more, it's now two thirds what it was a few months back. I haven't had much time to share on social media. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It does seem to make a bit of a difference. The quality of content/ideas might have dropped, or people might be officially sick of me. (I mean. come on, every day!) It doesn't affect my plan to post daily (even if not a single soul sets eyes on it). I'll just keep an eye on quality. Reads: Speaking of reads, I now have over 10k! My most-read , most-liked story in May was story #148, The Write Equipment, which was an alle-gory for writing (ha, didja see what I did there?) I recently re-worked it for the 3am challenge. Top Stories: Three yet again this month! There's NO WAY this is a coincidence. Here they are: #148 The Write Equipment, Just a Minute challenge entry Dying Later, and #139, Forced Compliance Not Necessary.

Why Are We Here? (On Vocal)
Introduction If, like me. you have been here a few years, you were probably drawn by the huge Vocal Challenge prizes. I soon learned that was as likely as a lottery win for me. Many of my friends have won and placed so they have been properly rewarded.
