My First Attempt at Writing a Novel
Man, I love to read; I just consume words, but just because someone reads a lot doesn't mean they can write well—well, for me anyway. I found that out when I decided to write a novel, “Titan’s Daughter.” It was during those days when the world stood still and we were all trapped at home. Back then, my days transformed into this monotonous blend of TV and even more reading than usual. It was almost as if I were on autopilot, moving from one activity to the next without truly engaging. Until one day, it dawned on me that every show I binge-watched and every book I was consuming was the ripened fruit of someone else’s imagination, someone who took the time to organize their thoughts.

I remember, somewhere between childhood and awkward teenage years, I went from being an avid reader to an avid writer. I thank my high school friends for this transition. They introduced me to anime, manga, and fanfiction. Fanfiction.net was approximately where I started attempting to write coherent stories under the penname Amery Aquaisha. First Challenge, First Win
I’ve been reading stories since I was young, probably early teenage years. It was just a coincidence that my father bought a Harry Potter collection for entertainment on a train when we visited Egypt for a holiday (vacation), but since then I was hooked in the immersive world these stories can create. I continued reading and even learned English while reading these books after coming to live in the UK.
