Adopt These Small Writing Tricks to Make Your Writing Better. Top Story - January 2024.
Writing is one of those things that can't simply be learned through placing a large novel under your pillow at night and hoping the ability to weave stories will seep through the pages, into your pillow, and find its way into your creative brain.

Mastering the Craft: How to Edit and Revise Your Creative Writing. Content Warning.
Creativity speaks a thousand words that no grandiose gesture ever can express. We often define creativity as the art of expressing one’s opinions through different creative outlets. Creativity is the essence of every decision we take; it is the catalyst that equips us to think over the conventional bounds of a perceived notion. The flow of performing various tasks coherently with a spark of unconventional ideas marks the essence of creativity. Whether it be media houses, the publishing industry, business magnates or authors, creativity pioneers the process of brainstorming and building brands that leave an impact on the lives of consumers.

To the ones January has not been kind to
To the ones January has not been kind to Hey there stranger, I hope you realize how amazing you are and how beautiful the world is because of you in it. This one is for you if January has not been kind to you. I know right now all you feel is how the darkness that surrounds knows no end, and the light that you are so desperately and intently searching for seems to lose its way in the dreariness of despair. I know all you long right now is a moment of peace and this month has constantly put you on the edge of your sanity. January has not been your month, all it has done is test your strength and remind you that you need to keep it all together. Life in its entirety has plonked you into the land of uncertainty, and all you yearn for is to be lost in a land where you cannot be found, only to be rescued with the warmth of love and a warm cup of coffee.

I Am Getting Sick Of Myself
Introduction Vocal has five challenges running at the moment and I seem to be getting addicted to the poetry formats especially the Abecedarian one. My last three stories have been for that challenge, absolutely ridiculous.

What Should I Get a Writer?
Your friend is a writer. Or maybe it's your brother or work colleague. Any way, you just know someone that's a writer. They work tirelessly on their novel almost every day. They're a dedicated member on Medium publishing articles about five times a week. They write on the side submitting short stories and poems to magazines.

Shining Brighter - Volume 1
2024 marks my fourth year of writing on Vocal, and it’s crazy to see how far I’ve come since I started. I happened to join Vocal in February 2020, right as the pandemic was starting. And in hindsight, it couldn’t have worked out better. Writing on Vocal gave me a much-needed creative outlet, and something to do while I was stuck at home.

Goals Achieved and Dreams Yet To Come
I'm not making any specific resolutions this year, for Vocal, or for anything else. As most people who set New Years Resolutions can tell you; that rarely ends in anything but disappointment, guilt, a lingering sense of shame and failure, and a general feeling of futility.

Writer's Groups
One time, I read a quote from Hemingway describing literary New York as a jar of tapeworms trying to eat each other and I thought, 'Yep.' Except, I don't think of literary New York specifically. Instead, I think of in-person writer's groups.

The Myth of Success: Debunking the Illusion of Habits in Your Writing Journey
If you scroll down any blog you'll find post after post about writing habits, writing routines, productivity hacks, and almost ritualistic practices some writers will swear you need or you will never write your novel, or it will never be a best-seller, or the sexy singles in your area won't be able to find you. (am I showing my age here?)
