Daredevil: Born Again
The end of the last episode did a great job of pulling together what the first few episodes set up. Fisk and Matt have stopped trying to be different then what they are and are officially fully leaning in to being the antithesis of each other. Vanessa’s characterization continues to piss me off and now we have Frank Castle introduced.

Daredevil: Born Again
Okay we are going into this episode with some feelings. They have fully destroyed Vanessa Fisk and I will not stop being angry about it, especially since keeping her character comic book accurate would have been better writing for the story they are actually telling. And then we have the fact that the last episode ended with what looked like the Punisher killing White Tiger, which would in fact destroy another comic book character if that is actually what happened. So I will hold my tongue until the show gives me a reason to get pissed off.

Daredevil: Born Again
We ended the last episode with Matt killing the two crooked cops, and the Fisk’s are now in therapy. We have pointed out how well written these character arcs are, with Fisk and Matt being direct inverses of each other. Really what we are waiting for now is for Matt to give in and put that costume on again.

Daredevil: Born Again
The news of the newest Daredevil shows filled Marvel fans with hope. After the original Netflix series was cancelled there was a Matt Murdock sized hole in the fandom. Many hoped that Disney would bring the show back and when they finally did it did not disappoint. I believe the key to this is cast participation. The cast loved their characters and the world and story so much that they helped shape the new series.

Until Dawn
Sometime last year, long before we knew the film was happening, my husband had me play Until Dawn. Now as someone who isn’t an avid gamer (I’ve got a few hundred hours of Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dreamlight Valley clocked but that’s about it), I loved it. I loved the story and I had a great time, then we saw the trailer for the movie annnnnd, I didn’t have a lot of hope.

Thunderbolts
When the cast of characters for Thunderbolts was first announced I was immediately skeptical because I truly hate when things happen off screen. And John Walker did not do enough by the end of Falcon and the Winter Soldier for Bucky to just be chill being on a team with him. So I definitely went into this movie with some reservations. The internet raved about it, but the general public is so often wrong, especially when it comes to comic book movies that it did nothing to ease my concerns.

Honey, Don't!
I have taken my gummies for the evening but I still have to do a review so here we are. You are getting my unfiltered stream of consciousness thoughts on Honey, Don't! I felt like this was a good choice to watch while high and boy was I correct. So be careful of sentences that aren’t real sentences. Please remember that I am intoxicated with the devil's grass.

Superman
The first major project from James Gunn’s DCU was Superman. This was Gunn’s first chance to show us what he will be doing with some extremely iconic characters. From the looks of the trailer he packed as many characters into his theatrical debut as possible. We get a lantern AND a Hawk, and most importantly we get Supergirl and Krypto. David Cornsweet was an incredible casting choice and I was very much looking forward to James Gunn’s take on the DC Universe and its leading man.

The Ballad of Wallis Island
When I saw the trailer for this movie I knew it was going to be one of those quieter films that I tend to love a lot. The fact that the core cast were also the executive producers also made me excited because that means that everyone involved really believed in and cared about the story and that is normally a sign of a well crafted film. So I knew it was on my must-watch list.

Elio
Elio is one of the quietly released movies this year, I don't recall it having an extreme marketing push. Disney seemed to not care whether this movie succeeded or failed, because we all know they have the funds for a good marketing campaign, they just chose not to. That said few people knew this movie was even being released, and even less people actually saw it in theaters. However box office return is the last indicator of movie quality so here we are.
