NHS Urges Young People To Catch Up On Missed MMR Vaccines
NHS England is urging young adults around the age of 19-25 to take up the opportunity of catching up on their missed MMR vaccine. Around 900, 000 people are being requested to book an appointment to have the Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine which they may have missed as part of an NHS catch up campaign.

Families Will Be Worse Off Despite Tax Cuts
In what is surely the last budget before an upcoming General Election, British Chancellor Of The Exchequer delivered a list of key measures in front of a packed House Of Commons which the current Conservative Government hopes to put in place in order to strengthen the economy and improve the lives of all citizens. There had been a lot of hype in the build up to his speech as to whether there would be many tax cuts or give aways which would help to sway the vote in favour of the Government. Although there were some attempts to make things easier for the lives of British citizens, a leading think tank deemed it too little to make up for the impact of previous tax increases and price rises.

World's Leading Social Media Site Suffers Global Outage
Users of the world's leading social media platform, Facebook were left locked out of their accounts on Tuesday 5th March. People were mysteriously logged out of their accounts and were unable to log back in after receiving messages such as ones stating they had input the wrong password when they clearly had typed in the right one or that there were technical issues with the site. The problem effected both the web site and the app so people were left feeling isolated as they were unable to stay in contact with their friends and family, some of whom may be in different parts of the world.

New Therapy Developed For Rare Graft Vs Host Disease
A new medicine has been developed to help cancer patients living with a rare disease which attacks the body's own organs following a life saving stem cell transplant. Belumosudil is a pioneering new treatment for chronic graft versus host disease. This develops in around a third of patients who have undergone stem cell treatment to try and cure them of any cancerous infection they may be suffering from. It has also been found useful for people who undergo bone marrow transplants or who suffer from such blood cancers like leukaemia and lymphoma.

NHS England Responds To Culture Review Of Ambulance Trusts
As a result of a report conducted by the National Guardians Office which looked at how the way listening to workers can help the way different ambulance trusts in England operate, a set of findings and corrective measures have been published in order to improve the situation. The report which was published in February 2023, called for an independent review of the culture which is used in the way the ambulance sector operates. The main findings of the report were that a negative impact on the ability workers have to speak up is drastically impacting worker well-being and patient safety. The NHS in England remains strongly committed to maintaining their ambition to protecting the various ambulance trusts all over the NHS.

Young People Urged To Get HPV Vaccine
The UK Health Security Agency has released the most up to date statistics which illustrate that around a sixth of girls and a fifth of boys have not been fully vaccinated against the Human Papilloma Virus by the time they reach the age they take their GCSE's. This leaves a large proportion of the young population at risk of developing Cervical Cancer or other related health conditions because they haven't developed the adequate level of immunity they need in order to protect themselves.

NHS Publishes Data On Impact Of Junior Doctors Strikes
The NHS has released the latest data and findings which illustrate the impact strikes by junior doctors and consultants are having on the state of patient care in the UK. The immediate findings show that just over a million inpatient and outpatient appointments have had to be rescheduled due to a lack of proper qualified staff on strike days. The latest round of strikes took place from Wednesday 20th December to and finished on Saturday 23rd December. Further strikes are planned from the 3rd to the 9th of January which will further effect the quality of care patients are receiving at difficult times.
