Peer Pressure: Don’t Let It Happen To You
When I was in middle school the teachers and counselors really seemed adamant about instilling a sense of individuality in us young teenagers. Though they all wanted us to get along and have a sense of oneness, they also imparted on us the importance of not being regulated to sameness and the negative consequences that it comes with. This is where the importance of peer pressure was expressed and rightfully so. One of the biggest problems we have as human beings is being subjected to peer pressure. It eats us alive and one of the worse things about it is we are not aware of all of the forms it takes on and how truly dangerous it is.

Appreciate Your Job
If no one has ever told you this before, I’m telling you now: always appreciate your job. That is perhaps one of the most cliche company lines people reiterate all the time, but it is absolutely true. You need to appreciate your job. Where is this coming from you might ask. Well I recently had like a one millionth epiphany of this when I was working at my job last weekend and something clicked for the one billionth time.

Once again, it’s the most wonderful time of the year for me. It’s the season of the Con, Galaxy Con that is. On Sunday, July 28th I went to GalaxyCon for the fourth time since 2019 and I have to say this was definitely the craziest year I’ve ever went.

Thank You Marvel Films
The year is 2024 and one of the biggest brands of not only entertainment, but pop culture as a whole is Marvel. If you ask someone today what is Marvel they will be quick to tell you everything under the sun about the Marvel Cinematic Universe owned by Disney Studios. Very understandable, I mean there’s not too many people you’ll find who aren’t Avengers fans right? I’m a huge fan of the MCU myself, I even consider myself an MCU fanatic, but when I was a little kid in the early 2000s there was no MCU. We just had Marvel Films, movies that were based off Marvel Comics characters that were distributed by various film studios with the assistance and oversight over Marvel Comics Enterprises. In the early 2000s these films were my MCU and all of us nerds of the late 90’s and early 2000s loved them. These movies are also responsible for why we have the Marvel Cinematic Universe and they need to be given more acknowledgment and credit for paving the way for the MCU.
