Runaway
As fireworks begin to light up the dark Mississippi sky with cheers coming from beneath them, a young Black slave named Runaway sprints from the field of the plantation he is on into the darkness of the woods behind the field. After nearly 30 minutes of running the young man stops to lean up against a tree while he breathes heavy as his legs ache. As his heavy breathing gradually settles he begins to reflect on his life as a slave and starts to talk to himself as he continues his expedition in a slight jog.

My Favorite Jurassic Park Movie: The Lost World.
On May 23rd 1997, The Lost World: Jurassic Park made its world debut and my dad was taking me to the movies to see it. Now at the time I had absolutely no idea what I was about to see, but that didn't matter because the movie was sold out and we weren't able to see it that night, so my dad took me to either Blockbuster or Hollywood video to rent the predecessor to the movie we were supposed to be seeing called Jurassic Park. After watching it a few times that weekend I was hooked. This movie was instantly like the best anything of Dinosaurs I had ever seen, so when my dad told me that the movie we were supposed to be on our way to seeing the night before was actually the second one I was actually looking forward to seeing it, so the next weekend when I came over my dad's house again we actually did get to see it this time and even during this second week the movie was still busy, yet we still were able to see it.

Libby Hills
When I sit and think about it, I have known a lot of crazy people in my life. No surprise right? We all know someone who is crazy, but I never thought the craziest person I'd ever meet would end up not only being one of my closest friends, but also a family member. Her name is Elizabeth Handel aka Liz Handel.

Great Fella
Growing up in my household, Gangster films were a big deal because my mother loved them to death. I'll never forget the day she brought home Goodfellas written and directed by one of my favorite filmmakers Martin Scorsese. This movie instantly became one of my favorite movies ever, like most before who had seen the film. I was captivated by its true story and amazing cast of actors who I've loved forever. The leading man of the cast was of course the great Ray Liotta.
