Balancing Hustle & Play
In a world full of fast-paced technology and the instant glorification of being constantly on the go, it is counter cultural when we actually implement balance over constant hustle. It not only leaves us anxious to always find something to do, but also leaves us empty when we find ourselves falling short at the end of the day. We are now to overwork ourselves to keep up with the pressures of meeting deadlines that we have created and that culture has pushed us to fulfill. Constant hustling is glorified, but do we ever stop to think about what it does to our beings—physical body, soul, and spirit?

Fix Your Crown & Know Your Worth
We all have a tendency to be people pleasers, especially to those closest to us. It seems that our most intimate relationship hold us to the highest standard, but sometimes, that standard is not all that healthy. We hold weight to every word that they say, whether it is healthy or not, and then we find ourselves in a cycle that looks more like a tornado going through than a pleasant breeze during a hot and humid day. I know I prefaced in my last article how to discern whether your boundaries are healthy or holding you back from the right people. Today, I want to simply encourage you to fix your crown, whether you are a king or a queen. You see, when we know our worth and how valuable we are, we will treat ourselves as such, as well as others. We begin to realize what is and is not acceptable, whether that is in an intimate relationship or a friendship.

Boundaries or Walls?
Boundaries are something that every human being needs. Whether you are in a relationship with someone or just simply friends, even family members need to have boundaries, as well as co-workers! Boundaries are healthy to have, especially if the other person does not respect things that you ask them to do. Often, we find ourselves giving from a reserve of leftovers because we allow others to drain us, and then that makes us ask the question: What are we doing wrong? If you are anything like me, you have been here before. The thing I want to discuss most today, though, is whether our boundaries are healthy or walling out the people that are supposed to be in our lives.

Social Media ... or Not So Much!?
Oh, the lovely world of social media, we all love it and sometimes, we hate it. Now if you know anything about me, I am someone who absolutely loves social media and uses the full potential of it to display my creativity and influence. I love being able to connect with others all across the globe, marketing to new clients and learning about cultures that I had no idea existed outside of social media. It is so beautiful to know there are so many people out there that are like you. Then, there are many others that are total opposites and they bless us with their absolute uniqueness. Learning to balance between the two and have many flowing personalities can be a wonderful thing. However, what we find sometimes is that we compare ourselves to others that are behind a glass screen, just like us, with a normal life.

Presence vs. Presents
Spending quality time with those you love... In a time where “things” seem to matter more than actually being there, it is so crucial to remember that some things can be cherished versus just for a little while. Time is the one thing that we cannot get back, but it is something that we can use either to build precious, sweet memories or be remembered for the times that we were distant and nowhere to be found. Sending sweet and thoughtful gifts in your time of absence is not a terrible thing, in and of itself, but when it replaces time together with your loved one, it diminishes the moments that could have been sweet with ash and blue feeling memories.
