TW: Don't start celebrating me TOO MUCH yet. I'm kind of/sort of PROJECTING the day that my absolute favorite of all of my books gets picked up by a traditional publisher (oh; WITH an Amazon Prime deal on the way). This is all in good fun; and pay specific attention to the acceptance and thank you section. You just MIGHT know someone...

In Memoriam
Here in North America, tomorrow (Monday, May 31) will commemorate Memorial Day this year. For many, Memorial Day is viewed as the unofficial start of Summer. Here in a resort town, it is treated as the clarion call that summons tourists and second-home-owners to descend upon our town and our businesses until at least September (Then it begins to be safe for us locals to claim our town back and enjoy its amenities again).

THRIFTY FIGURES PART 2
Welcome to "Thrifty Figures Part 2." Oh; you don't remember a Part ONE (written for a Challenge well over two months ago)? How silly of me. Here's a little link... https://todaysurvey.today/geeks/thrifty-figures-part-1 Okay, great; here we go...

Mainstream
This was a Facebook status I made last August that still resonates with me now as the way that I was treated back then is not so different than the way that I'm being treated NOW. Any political references have to do with the LAST administration; and any references to college are only because I graduated way back in 2008; I wasn't run off campus on a spit for being a Bush supporter or something...

I'm Writing My Own Story
I was always fascinated by story-telling. Going back to a time when "He-Man..." and "G.I. Joe..." were my go-to childhood appointment viewing opportunities, I think that I somehow inherently sensed that someone had WRITTEN the dialogue/scenes. In fact, it prompted me to turn around and start scribbling out little side-adventures when the REAL adventures had long since gone off the air for the day and I didn't want to pop in the same VHS tape again. (Even in playing with my figures, I would, on technicality, be creating my own adventures for them).

Say What...?
Hello again, all. For as much as I love my vintage animation/comedy, my figure collections, or reflecting back on my past errors in judgments and whether or not THAT could have, unfortunately, made me part of someone else's #MeToo story, I do love my 80's rock, 90's country, and 80's/90's pop. I could listen to it for a goo two/three hours a sit vs. a row of maybe two or three "modern" songs.

Could It Have Been Because of Me...?
Hello. I know that I've been in something of a humorous, lite-hearted mood lately ("The Bachelor"/"The One;" false accounts of "Dream" sequences where my old crushes [under different names] all vied for MY attention for a change??? "Hanna, the Barberian;" really???) Not today. Today is a serious reflection on a serious subject.

Hanna, the Barberian, and the Quest Into the Four Portals
(Adamis): Last time in our tale, we became mystery solving sleuths; just another distraction from the true mystery that awaited us: "How many portals did Virga make, and do ANY TRULY lead back to her capture...?"
