Vaccine Diary (Day 1)
Dear Diary, Beginning April 15th, 2021, today basically, I will be receiving the covid-19 virus vaccination. The shot is provided free of cost, mainly due to me being an essential workerin the disease-ridden field of health care, but also because my place of employment gave me a priority letter. The clinic is set up for Walmart Pharmacy to administer it. And I will have to receive the second shot within 3 weeks of this one. Fingers, toes, and heart crossed on this bad boy.

Animal Crossing & Depression. Top Story - April 2021.
Ever since I was a child, I have been obsessed with video games. It didn’t matter what the genre was; I played a little bit of everything. RPGs, Racing games, horror survival, 2D platforms, you name it, I was dabbling with it at one point or another. The first video game console my siblings and I were introduced to was the NES or Nintendo Entertainment System released on July 15th, 1983. My eldest brother actually had an Atari 2600 before coming into money to buy his first gaming system, which was the NES. By the time he purchased a Turbo Graffix 16, he had donated the previous console to us in the middle 90s.

She Saved Us
This concept might be weird, but hello. These are the many stories from all the animals that Angela, our human mommy, saved. She has a big heart, patience like a saint, and always looks out for those of us who were different, sick, or thrown away by uncaring people. She means the world to us; we mean the world to her. It’s a good relationship that is never boring! We begin with the good boy, Cow.

Right Picture, Wrong Time
Today I’m going to share my most embarrassing moment. Although there have been so many to date, at this time, I can think of only one moment that left me absolutely mortified with shame. The day one goofy, inappropriate picture taken by my laptop's web camera for my long-distance, very sexually open boyfriend was discovered by my father, of all the horror! So here’s what happened... my boyfriend and I were talking over Skype, a now outdated video chatting software, one day when the subject of intimate relations came up. At the time, we were over 5,000 miles from each other and had no way to express our love in that way, so we mostly sexted a lot until things got more heated.

Queen of Cats
I just want to start by saying I love all animals no matter how big or small, how bald or fuzzy, dog, cat, rabbit, bird, fish, etc. All are open to the warm embrace of the Queen of Cats. Where I live, I am known as the crazy cat lady at the end of the trailer park. More than a dozen of them come to my porch for shelter, food, and attention. I readily provide that and then some. I give out more than 50 lbs of kitty kibble a month, several dozen gallons of water, and thousands of kisses and head pats, all in a safe, judgment-free zone. Life is good.

Letter for my Sissy
Dear Christeena, It’s your little sister writing to you. I just wanted to tell you how much you mean to me. I know that growing up we didn’t have very much. Often struggling financially because mom was on Social Security, dad was working for peanuts as a construction worker despite all of his experience just to keep close by, but we had enough. At the very least we had each other. Just you, our older brother John, younger brother Jacob, and me your little sister Angela. We grew up a little estranged since you were about nine years older than me; moving onto high school and boys and womanhood, but I always looked up to you as a role model in my life. Mom was the primary influence in my upbringing, but you played a huge part in how I developed into a real person.

Amazon Is My Bae
As we all know, Shopping is a mildly therapeutic way to manage stress. It is also a good way to keep up with the latest trends or to stock up on daily essentials. With the weekly sales, seasonal blow outs, videos, books, and more. Whatever the need, Amazon.com will always be there for us.

Sidelines
I think Wednesdays are boring. It's not the beginning of the week anymore, but not the weekend either, the stupid in between. Completely pointless, I thought, Or at least they used to be, until one day. I was at my high school locker putting away my textbooks from Math class and retrieving my American Literature ones when I noticed something on the front. A yellow sticky note with my name on it. I flipped it over only to find a time and location, no signature.

If Walking Dead, then Z Nation
I am a diverse multimedia consumer, so I try to watch a little bit of everything that TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc. has to offer. During my days of binge-watching just about everything I came across, both presently and in my early childhood. During my teens years became more interested in horror specifically. I found a show called the Walking dead that premiered on AMC channel on October 31st, 2010 after a long night of trick or treating and sweaty costumes it seemed like the perfect way to end my night.

Only He Knew
It all began on a Friday evening, June 12th, 2020, to be exact. After a long, arduous day of celebrations, congratulations, and pictures, I finally said goodbye to my long-term prison sentence at Blackwoods Educational Academy. The premiere, exclusive boarding school for wayward adolescents. While four years is the standard term for an institution of academia, I felt like my term was a never-ending torment to my otherwise socially awkward and introverted self. My sole survival tactic remained the same: become invisible. Stay out of sight. Do not stand out. Head down, and voice soft. Although a tad on the lonely side, I persevered all by myself. No parents, friends, lovers, or enemies, just erased from the collective consciousness of the world so that I'm not of concern to anyone.
