German Cuisine
Soup Biersuppe is a traditional soup that is prepared by combining light and dark beer. Other ingredients in the soup are meat broth, water, flour, egg yolks, milk, cream, butter, and stale bread. The soup is simmered until it becomes thick and creamy. It is seasoned with salt and pepper but can also include sugar, honey, and spices like cinnamon and caraway seeds.

Clarksville, Tennessee “Last Train to Clarksville” is a song by the American pop-rock band The Monkees. The song came out as their debut single on August 16, 1966. It is on their self-titled album. The song was written by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Lead vocals were performed by the band’s drummer Micky Dolenz. The song was featured in seven episodes of The Monkees TV series.

Bremen is a Hanseatic city in northwestern Germany. Hanseatic referred to a league of trading cities in the 13th century. It is a commercial and industrial city with a major port on the Weser River. It is also one of the largest seaports and centers of seaborne trade in the country.

Europe Sweden God, Our Father on the Rainbow is a fountain in Stockholm, Sweden. It was designed by Swedish sculptor Carl Miles in 1946. It is a monument to peace celebrating the founding of the United Nations. You can see the fountain and bronze sculpture on the main street in central Stockholm.

Portuguese Cuisine
Soup Acorda de bacalhau is a traditional bread soup. It is prepared with cod, rustic bread, and delicious broth. The broth is seasoned with garlic, olive oil, and fresh herbs. When done, the soup is topped with a poached egg. The cod is either left whole or mashed with bread to give the soup a creamy consistency.

A Rainbow of Birds
Asia Mandarin ducks make their home in forested areas near water in parts of Ireland and in East Asia. Males have brightly colored feathers marked by bright orange, green, red, yellow, and purple. The male mandarin ducks are the most colorful and their faces are marked by stripes of yellow-tinged white, and deep green.
