Reason First: How Should JAY-Z Respond to a Legal Battle and Praise?
When it comes to trials and triumphs, few gracefully carry both sides other than JAY-Z. It has been reported that a former boxer on Roc Nation Sports, Daniel Franco, sustained a brain injury, and is suing the legendary rapper for “personal negligence and other damages.” A few hours earlier, rapper 21 Savage declared via Twitter that JAY-Z is the undisputed best rapper to have ever graced a microphone.

Reason First: Is Robert F. Smith's Gift More Important Than How He Made the Money?
The benevolence of billionaires is a thing to behold. These ten to twelve figure plus bank account holders have more than is necessary to live multiple lifetimes. Their ability to donate, exchange, and share funds based on their enormous fortunes is a sign that the government ought not be in the business of granting loans (in the future) among a whole host of other functions of the federal, state, and, city agencies.

Reason First: Is Kodak Black Too Much for Hip Hop?
Though he has not been charged with a March 7 shooting in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida, rapper Kodak Black has certainly garnered negative attention for his alleged wicked ways. With fingerprints on an illicit firearm attached to the “ZEZE” rap artist, it seems as if the young man just can’t get right. Kodak Black has attracted bad press like a magnet draws iron filings.

Reason First: Can Boxer Adrien Broner Be Redeemed?
Boxer Adrien Broner is in crisis. In an Instagram post, Broner declared that he didn’t “want to live.” After a battery of legal and street nonsense, Broner has handled losing to boxer Manny Pacquiao in a sketchy way. The “About Billions” boxer faced charges related to untoward advances against a young woman outside of a Louis Vuitton store in Cleveland. While the charges never stuck, the profile of the pugilist became a bit shadier. Also, Broner found himself in disfavor for his unsavory comments against gay people.

Reason First: Did Having Sex with an Alleged 2,000 Women Make a Man Out of Lamar Odom?
Ex NBA player Lamar Odom’s confession that he engaged in sexual relations with more than 2,000 women points to the issue of manhood. Even if this count is true which is dubious, it’s not a good sign. While he claims that he is a “sex addict” the truth is that there is no such thing. Having sex with scores of women does not make a man out of anyone. It makes you a hunk of flesh guided by whatever whim that points you to the next female. The psychology of his actions is for his psychiatrist to determine, but the term “sex addict” is an anti-concept. It has no definition. One might be a whim worshipper and get kicks from coital relations but that is not the same as some who remain addicted to drugs. Speaking of which, Odom claims that the sexual promiscuity triggered his drug habit. In all of the subjective ways that a male might find himself, Odom has crossed that threshold. To say that the action of laying down with women lead to a cocaine addiction is purely based on feelings. As he emoted about becoming a licentious person and adding that drugs merely supplemented the situation.

Reason First: Are Artists Like Ty Dolla Sign Too Metrosexual?
Ty Dolla Sign may be an accomplished singer, but he may now be known for his metrosexual tendencies. As he walked out of the nail salon with Trick or Treat (orange and black) nail polish on his fingernails and toenails, he readied himself to face the scrutiny of the internet.

Initiated: My Journey to Find the Beginning of 'Game of Thrones'
Never mind the coffee cup or Jaime's hand. Dismiss any flub that may have occurred associated with this show. This missive is not about those minor events. The major draw, the very crux of the show, is the lives and thoughts of the characters that people Game of Thrones (GoT). It took just the first episode for me to identify and observe what the monumental series has to offer. The truth is, I’ve never been a fan of the show just as I am not of any person, team, or other entity. I can say that I do appreciate the exchanges of power and critique the taboo subjects like incest. As the show unraveled before my eyes, a tinge of excitement like a surge of electricity coursed through my being. I was more than hooked. I found a gem of a television series that has motivated me ever since.

Reason First: The Wisdom of Wayne
Who is it that says that rappers lack the discipline of erudition? Lil’ Wayne foregoing a security check at the Rolling Loud musical festival probably proved to be the right thing to do. Because of his past incarceration, and altercations with law enforcement he just decided to skip that drama and perform at a second venue known as STORY for the afterparty. The wisdom of Wayne shows his keen awareness of situations. Who knows what Wayne carried with him those moments before stage time?

Reason First: Strike Against Alyssa Milano's Strike
In the Lysistrata yarn by Greek playwright Aristophanes, women withhold sexual congress until the men in the Peloponnesian War lay down their arms. In the centuries since this play saw action on the stage, the dramatic has become the actual... to an extent.

Reason First: Will 6ix9ine See Freedom Soon?
With the emotion-driven climate in which we live, it appears that there will be more and more cases of violence and mayhem in the genre of hip-hop. 6ix9ine’s chances of coming home earlier than expected hinge upon the words of his former associate. For his feelings before thought lead to actions that occurred on April 21, 2018 at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York; Fuguan Lovick shot into the air, while his Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods against Cassanova’s 2X’s gang squabbled.

Reason First: Dr. Sebi's Blind Alley
Medical professionals considered Dr. Sebi a phony and a fake. He allegedly told people that AIDS did not arise from HIV. Allegedly, he cured forms of cancer and became a healer to those yearning to be freed from a given malady.
