A Look at Corrosion of Conformity's 'Wiseblood'
I'm only 36-years-old (as of this writing), but seeing how old some albums are puts that number in perspective. Corrosion of Conformity's Wiseblood is just such an album. It came out in 1996, when I was about 14-years-old. It's hard to believe it, but that makes this album itself 21-years-old! In any case, this album holds up extremely well for me. I don't think there's a single stinker track on it.

Treasures in My Backyard
I grew up loving all types of music...but I'm a rock-n-roller from the roots of my hair right down to my core. I mean, I consider the band Staind to be THE BEST therapist I could ever ask for. To this day, if I were to ever meet Aaron Lewis or ANYONE from the band in person...I would hand them a check for all those years I listened to them and felt relief through singing their songs...along with punching my pillows during "Suffocate" and "Mudshovel" (laughing).

Local Hardcore Venues
The hardcore scene is a beautiful place, my friends, filled with wholesome people and music that makes you want to absolutely destroy something, What isn't to love about it? Sadly, spaces to host shows like this one are closing faster than they can pop up.

Maxo Kream - Best Bars off His Texas Hip Hop Album 'Punken'
'Punken' is Maxo Kream's new album released January 12, 2018. This being his first album was a surprise to me since I was a big fan of his mixtape 'Quicc Strikes.' Turns out that, or any of his other releases weren't albums. Nowadays, no one knows what the difference between an album and a mixtape is, it used to be whether you paid for it, but now the only entity that gets paid is Spotify.

The 'List: Best of New Wave. Top Story - January 2018.
Hello, one and all. Well, we're a couple of weeks into the new year and while we've been sort of stuck in the mostly 1970s rut, me and my co-conspirator in this experiment: Calvin (he'll always be Oates to me) Cherry have decided to shake things up and add more diverse 'lists rather than focus on singular artists. But, fret not; many artists from various decades will get their just due 'lists: Fleetwood Mac, Commodores, Billy Joel, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince are all due for 'lists this year, so hang tight, and they are being drafted as we speak.

4 Albums I'm Anticipating for 2018
LPs such as Father John Misty's Pure Comedy delivered breathtaking social commentary in the middle of today's significant events. Migos' Culture, BROCKHAMPTON's overload of content, and many other rap artists offered great bangers, expanding the boundaries of the genre. And album sequels like Scum Fuck Flower Boy by Tyler the Creator, and Lorde's Melodrama showcased true growth in the artists' maturity, which seemed to be an overall theme in many different 2017 projects.

Hey, Johnny Park!
There is a great fondness I have for musical performances that contain a concept...a step beyond the everyday and normal. This time around, let us discuss the tribute show. As the name suggests, it's one in which an artist's body of work or a specific work within their career is showcased due to its mass cultural impact. This type of thing can bring a plethora of excitement for an audience because...well, popular culture has made that audience well aware of its existence. There is absolutely bound to be a classic everybody-coming-together sing along! Everybody leaves the show a happy camper.
