Soundcloud Artists You Should Check Out...
I spend a lot of my time going through my Soundcloud stream and discover sections. I find so much new music and new artists this way it is insane. If you are not on Soundcloud and you LOVE music, I recommend getting an account simply just to discover all these hidden gems that we don’t hear on the radio or on TV. I download most things that are free and I buy anything that I love, that isn’t available for free download. I am a firm believer in paying for my music. As a musician myself along with my partner, I see how the music industry is damaged by the high levels of music piracy. These days musicians find other ways of making money from their music, and that includes streams, gaining more followers so they are more likely to book shows, and generally doing the social media thing that we all wish we didn’t have to do to keep our creative asses working.

The 'List: Best of R&B Vol. 1 (?)
Hello, one and all. This new 'list is a labor of love for the both of us; me and my buddy Calvin (Wilford Brimley loves to eat Oates) Cherry have an affinity for R&B music and this may be the first in a series of 'lists that will highlight the best of the genre. First, a small lesson about the first tentative volume of this 'list.

51 Songs to Add to Your 'Feels' Playlist
Some days just get us down in the dumps. Music has always been my remedy to get me through a rough day. I do not have a specific playlist that I go to when I am sad, I usually just search for a song in my songs list that matches my mood. I decided to go through my songs and take as many as I could to compile a large list of the feels music. Take what you want from the songs and listen to as any as you please. I promise they will not disappoint you.

2000s Rock Playlist
Rock 'n' roll, my favorite genre of music. So beautiful and passionate, true to themselves rockstars generally live the life they want to or at least don’t handle being told what to do. As I’ve gotten older I’ve found myself listening more of old rock from the 70s, 80s, and sometimes the 90s but I’ve always had a passion for 2000s rock. The playlist I am going to make will consist of bands like Shinedown, Seether, Staind, Theory of a Deadman, 3 Doors Down, etc. I will also add a link to a YouTube playlist that has every song listed already on it. Ten songs will be in the playlist.

The 'List: 'Flashdance' 35 Years Later
Hello, one and all. The 1980s were a time of relatively simple pleasures. We could still buy 45 PRM singles and 33-1/3 vinyl LPs. We now had MTV as our other music source. We didn't have the internet, YouTube, iPads, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest - hell, even the thought of sending mail electronically hadn't been realized. Nope. We still had cassettes, Walkmans, and video arcades with everything from Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders etc. etc. It was a time of sweet, simple pleasures.

The 'List: Valentine's Day
Hello, one and all. My close BFF Calvin (I'm the Hall to his Oates) Cherry has been battling the elements, so this 'list is an all-me 'list and yes, no surprise - it coincides with the big holiday that makes our hearts swoon in the middle of February. Of course, I'm talking about Valentine's Day. Heart-shaped chocolate candy boxes, roses, soft candlelight, romantic dinners, and maybe even a movie date night, followed by - uh, give me a second. Eccchhh!! Ok, just kidding. I really don't care what is done in many billions of bedrooms all across America.

The Best Playlist to AppeaseYour Flaky, Anxious, Socially-tired Heart
To be honest, this is the only thing keeping me from buying the next plane ticket out of Portland. As much as I love my life right now, being at university, seeing my friends and boyfriend everyday, playing lacrosse, something in me is always wanting to be on the move. I sit in lecture thinking of backpacking in the Wallowa Mountains, sipping coffee in Australia, or train rides through Germany.

The 'List: Fleetwood Mac
Hello, one and all. Here's the second artist profile for the new year. A mixed rock/pop act from both the US and the UK that formed in London. They went through many lineup changes and were considered more of a blues/rock band before changing their sound often and still have success elude them, until after another band member dropped out and there were five official members and their self-titled LP was released in 1975 and as they say...the rest is rock 'n' roll history.
