Proud Pada
I have just finished the third installment of the Last Lumenian series. The Proud Pada is such an amazing continuation of this series. We spend most of our story on yet another planet and that forces our cast of characters to develop even further. I love this story because we go back to a more politically driven story and it is perfectly balanced with magic and fantasy. Something that S.G. manages to do really well is make each story stand alone. Now obviously these books are meant to be read in order, in the series. But her ability to weave recaps into her narrative makes it easy to pick up the series at any point. As always we will be doing this with and without spoilers.

That Fatal Night: A Review and Reflection
I remember reading Dear Canada and Dear America books when I was a kid in middle school. That was the only good part about my days in public school: the libraries. I read as many books as I could get my hands on. As a result, I don’t remember details of a lot of them. Before the day I started writing this, I couldn’t tell you much about the Dear America or Dear Canada series except what anyone could tell you by simply glancing at the books: that they are written to be the diaries of young girls living through momentous events of history.
