Greek Myths, Plot Diagrams, and Homosexuality
5 Students, 5 Greek Legends… During the past year, I've had five of my elementary Language Arts students complete their reading of The Twelve Labors of Hercules in our own tutoring unit where they analyzed the genre and learned about character traits, rising/falling plot arcs, and the writing process before they wrote their own creative “6 Labors” legend using a problem/solution structure! In every session, I am continuously blown away and inspired by the imagination my students possess. One student took our sessions to outer-space where her heroine had to defeat invading aliens, while another wrote the superhero story for the missing sister of Marvel's Flash! When one of my high school students read The Odyssey for his class, we were able to enter into more philosophical discussions of myths and Greek norms, which spurred my inspiration into researching homosexuality within Ancient Greece in contrast to our own American society…

What are the advantages of outcomes-based assessment?
Achievements are insufficient to portray a student's character or to explain the difficulty of each student's success. Students must utilize their resources to pick the best-planned study strategy to acquire a higher result after completing the course in the obe system. If the student develops and implements a learning plan, he or she may be able to achieve exceptional results during the time assessment. Educating Children About Racism Matters
Educating Children About Racism Matters Racism is very prevalent in today's society but this isn't the first time America is experiencing it or hearing of it. Racism has caused many inequalities and has created stereotypes of specific races and has caused issues that have cost people’s lives. For example, America's segregation has led to many problems, like the killing of George Floyd; the problem is the fact that he was African American which race should not matter. The previously stated real-life event caused people to promote Black Lives Matter more than ever; constant rallies and protests Americans fighting against each other over what racial group matters more. Stereotypes in racism have caused many Americans to assume some things as racist compared to what other Americans believe is racist or what is actually racist, this caused us to lose the true definition of racism. What is the true definition of racism then? Dictionary definition “a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.” The group of racist people feel they are superior over the other races. America can change racist beliefs by educating young children on racism and can help develop the world's way of seeing racism.

My Career was Stolen
The ring was a beautiful ruby and diamond setting meant to be worn on the middle finger. I could hardly believe my mom had seriously bought the ring for my college graduation! I was thrilled for graduation day as I was the only family member in a full generation to attend and graduate with a Master's Degree in Education. I had been teaching in the local public school for a year now, and my family were all really proud. I was thrilled that my own children, Cara 9, and Erik 4, had watched me work hard completing my second college degree. You see I had relatives that were retired teachers, my great aunts and uncles were among the first of our nation's teachers. My Great-Aunt Edna had taught in a one room school house before the rural community school was built. Wow! Her stories were inspiring! She taught 2nd grade for many years. I couldn't believe my luck when I too started my teaching career in second grade.
