Iced Turmeric Chai Tea Latte
The holidays are definitely keeping me busy, and my wallet pretty empty. Between all the fun festivities with my friends, trying to stay in touch with my family (who is just as busy as I am), and trying to keep my life and health in order, it can get overwhelming.

Why I Am No Longer Vegan
After two years, I have decided to no longer call myself vegan. During these two years, not only have I had to battle with my own morals on the subject of factory farming, but I have also had to have incredibly awkward conversations with waitstaff who are just trying to do their job, and don't get paid nearly enough to clearly know every ingredient on the menu (especially when it's unclear like isinglass or gelatin).

10 Cookbooks for Anime Geeks
Geek culture is absolutely, positively massive. It's an umbrella that holds subcultures like furries, comic book readers, gamers, and, yes, also anime geeks. Out of all the little subcultures geekdom has birthed, few have the natural inclination to add cooking to their culture like anime geeks do.

Benefits of Mycelium
Have you been getting your recommended servings of vegetables and fruit everyday? How about drinking plenty of water? If you have, then thumbs up, but there may be something else you want to add to your list of "Things I Need to Eat Today": fungus. For now we will just call them mushrooms because it sounds a bit more pleasing. Many people find mushrooms to be odd tasting with a strange texture, but if you take the time to try the different varieties you will find that there is something out there for everyone. Chanterelles are a bright golden color and have a fruity and peppery taste, and go quite well with eggs because of their delicate texture. They also last the longest in the fridge compared to other mushrooms because of their high water content and should be sautéed dry.

Pumpkin Mumpkin
Pepon, the Greek name for Pumpkin meaning large melon, tends to be mistaken for just a carved candle holder for Halloween. From a chef’s point of view however, it is a starter, main and a dessert fruit. (Yes, pumpkin is a fruit!). Pumpkin is a member of the Gourd family which means it is related to the cucumber, honey dew melon, cantaloupe, watermelon and even courgette family. The pumpkin is rich in fibre, potassium and vitamin c, which is a massive health benefit to the heart as well as your skin.

Homemade Apple Crisp
It's that time of the year again. The most wonderful time. And no, I'm not taking about Christmas. I'm talking about Thanksgiving. That huge family meal that takes all day to make, those leftovers that last for weeks. And my favorite part, those homemade desserts. One of my all time favorite dessert is homemade apple crisp. You serve it immediately after it comes out of the oven, scoop nice cold ice cream on top. The warmth of the apples with the cinnamon, and the crunch of the oats with the mix of the ice cream. It's all just so lovely and dances around in your mouth. It goes to your heart, not your stomach.

The term “homemade” always sounds a little intimidating. This pasta sauce is so easy, you’re going to be questioning why you haven’t been doing it this way from the beginning. Saving Time on Meal Prep
Sometimes it seems like we only have two options: hunch over a hot stove or cutting board for at least 20 minutes, or grab a bite that was probably more greasy, sugary, or otherwise unhealthy than you meant to eat. Even doing a five to seven day meal prep session can still take five to six hours if you're doing it wrong. Here are some tips you can use to shorten your meal prep time.

Chocolate and Coffee Cake
We're bringing your taste buds back to basics with the taste chocolate combined with coffee. There's nothing better than a rich chocolate sensation in your mouth exquisitely combined with coffee to make your day even more special. This recipe is surprisingly easy to make even though there is quite of a lot ingredients. But don't worry all ingredients for my recipes are affordable so I'm not asking you to break the bank. You only need 100g of dark chocolate for the pure richness of the chocolate and instant coffee to get the taste melting in your mouth. The best part is you can use different coffee flavours if you love a particular kind of coffee such as cappuccino, latte and espresso. So there's no need to buy fresh organic coffee beans $14/£12 for 250g. So why not give this recipe try? You will be delighted to treat yourself at the end of the working day with chocolate and coffee creamed with delicious frosting.

If you've read my precious recipes you know I love carbs. You know I love making homemade noodles, breads, and doughs. If you go on my page, you will probably also notice I that love noodles. I started a noodles craze over a year ago. I love to go anywhere that has a Korean or a Chinese/Japanese flare to it. Along with my noodles craze, I've started to really enjoy the taste of garlic and onion.

Fall in Love with Drive Thru
We've all done it. You're at the Supercenter with your kids, their best friends and at least one kid that no one really knows waiting for you to entertain them with after school snacks, a slumber party, or weekend feast. You race down the aisles with visions of the other "resident adult" permitting any number of unacceptable things to occur including a tea party with heirloom china or burning down the house in an attempt to pop popcorn.
