REVIEW - Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Well then, it's finally here. Ghostbusters: Afterlife (or Ghostbusters: Legacy in some regions). I saw it on opening night (three evenings ago) but have taken a little while to collect my thoughts. As some of you might have noticed over the years, I'm rather into Ghostbusters, the film and the whole franchise. Ghostbusters II is great, sorely underrated, I thoroughly enjoyed the 2016 reboot (these days referred to as Answer the Call) and am still a bit annoyed the fan backlash damaged its performance so much that it didn't get a sequel. A third movie of any kind seemed unlikely for years, and at least the reboot made it clear there was still an appetite for the film. Finally we get a third instalment of the original continuity and... I liked it. I didn't love it. But I liked it.

Character Coding in Fiction
Something I’ve seen recently in online discussions is arguments about “Coded” characters. In most of those arguments, there’s been a lot of confusion around what kind of framing is or isn’t coding a character, and sometimes confusion over what coding even is. So, when I was stuck on my current NaNoWriMo project, I figured that I might as well distract myself by clearing a few things up.

My Review of "Ghostbusters: Afterlife"
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a long awaited Ghostbusters sequel that I've been waiting a while to see. This franchise has a special place in my heart as I have some history with this movie and after seeing this movie I can say I was a little choked up at certain parts. For those that didn't like Star Wars Awakens I think you might want to stay away from this movie though.

Review: The French Dispatch
The slow burn death of print journalism. The beauty of writing. Loneliness. Love. Poetry. Revolution. The “French Dispatch” is a 2 hour long love letter to journalism. As a writer, the movie inspired me to write about everything I see, feel, think, experience. More than ever now I want to interview strangers, eat every food imaginable, attend and explore countless museums, and write about it all.

All New Marvel Content Announced For Disney+ Day
Disney+ Day unleashed a legion of new announcements from the House of Mouse, and subscribers rushed to social media to eagerly await the trailers. Of course, Marvel fans were no exception. However, it seemed to leave that fandom with even more to speculate. Projects that were previously revealed had tantalizing details unveiled, and some new bombshells were dropped for the very first time. Marvel's push for their universe to expand on the streaming service might seem daunting given the sheer number of shows, but that is where we come in. Let's dive in and break down everything we learned about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+.

My Review of "The Holiday Movies That Made Us: Season 3"
The Holiday Movies That Made Us: Season 3, is the third season of The Movies That Made Us. I love this series because I don't really buy DVD's and Blu Rays as often. I kind of need my fix to see the behind the scenes things that happened while making these movies. They go deep into not only small things behind the movies but also stories we would never have known.

Movie Reviews: 'Eternals' Inspires Indifference
I don’t hate Eternals. I don’t love Eternals either. I’m ambivalent to Eternals which is perhaps more damning than a negative review. At least a negative review would be memorable. I’m several days from my viewing of Eternals and I am having to use spoiler websites to try and recall parts of the movie. Eternals is exceptionally competent and perhaps the best movie that could be made with this script and this cast. But still, the reaction is mostly… blah.

Review: "Army of Thieves"
It seems rather odd that Netflix had green-lit a cinematic universe for Zack Snyder seemingly overnight even before seeing the returns on his entry film "Army of the Dead", but here we are with a prequel entry to said universe starring the eccentric wisecracking criminal fan-favorite Dieter. Snyder stays on the film as a producer and writer but passes his director chair off to the main star of the film in Matthias Schweighofer. Army of Thieves ends up being a surprisingly fun heist film and at times more fun than its predecessor but it hides some horrible pacing issues and horribly written bland characters with a flurry of kinetic editing.
