‘Together’ Review—Captivating and Timely
Bleecker Street’s latest film is, remarkably, not a prequel to their early 2021 film, Together Together. This movie’s title leaves out the word redundancy, leaving us with Together, a comedy-drama from writer Dennis Kelly and director Stephen Daldry.

The Most Important Life Lessons We Learned From 'Freaks and Geeks'
We previously focused on the reasons why you should watch Freaks and Geeks, but now we will think about the things that the show actually taught us. This show taught us a multitude of lessons throughout its 18-episode run. We learned answers to teenage issues regarding sex, drugs, friendship, and family life, but which of these stood out the most?

Disney A Twisted Tale Series Retrospective - Part One
A couple of weeks ago, Disney+ premiered the new Marvel animated series What If?, an anthology which provides a set of “What if?” stories changing established parts of the Marvel mythos. What if Captain America’s British girlfriend got the Super-serum instead? What if the Avengers were killed off by a mysterious force before they could get together? This sort of reimagining plays very well with fans, as it allows them to take familiar characters and see how they are shaped by new and intriguing scenarios. In 2015, Disney created the A Twisted Tale series, which applies this AU formula to the Disney Animated Canon. Each A Twisted Tale book is based on a Disney Animated Classic, with these stories changing elements at the beginning or end of the original story to create hundreds of pages of complications for our heroines and heroes to overcome. The A Twisted Tale series currently consists of eleven books - Six have been written by Liz Braswell, three by Jenn Calonita, and two by Elizabeth Lim. The eleven books adapt Disney Animation hits old and new (from Snow White to Frozen) with tones ranging from psychological horror to romantic fantasy, from epic quest narratives to dystopian actioners. However, all of them maintain a more serious and mature approach, with a greater sense of danger and threat. There are plenty of updates for contemporary sensibilities, such as more developed romantic relationships and several new female characters to even out the gender gap. Despite this, a lot of Disney’s upbeat fantasy charm remains intact, and fans will really enjoy seeing their favourite leads earn their happy endings.

Valuable Life Lessons From The Five Feet Apart Movie
Social (physical) distancing. Five Feet Apart (technically six feet in real life). What Stella (played by Harley Lu Richardson) and Will (played by Cole Sprouse) had to endure each and every day for their top up treatment in Saint Grace hospital as Cystic Fibrosis patients in this movie, directed by debut sensation Justin Baldoni. That was only the beginning, on top of their strict medication and other regimens in their treatment plans.

I Recreated Bo Burnham's 'White Woman's Instagram'
Everyone's been obsessed with Bo Burnham's comedy special Inside in one way or another. Now that the billionaire space race is afoot, I've seen several TikToks featuring "Bezos I" and "Bezos II" to commemorate Jeff's flight. I was in a production of Midsummer Night's Dream back in June and early July, and one of my castmates would play "That Funny Feeling" on his acoustic guitar whenever we had downtime during rehearsals. I even wrote a Top 10 list of Bo Burnham songs for my job because I couldn't stop thinking about Inside.

Movie Review: 'Sweet Girl' Starring Jason Momoa
Sweet Girl doesn’t fail due to lack of commitment. Leads Jason Momoa and Isabela Merced each appear deeply committed to their roles. The unfortunate failure of Sweet Girl comes because what these wonderful performers committed to was far too silly to warrant their commitment. Sweet Girl turns on a twist so clumsily executed and poorly thought out that it renders any goodwill the movie might get from the performances moot.

10 Weird Books of 2021 (so far!)
Over the past year, I have focused on different types of reading including: folk horror, nonfiction and crime/thrillers of the Golden Age of British Crime Fiction. But, one thing that I have noticed along my reading is that there are books I would say are very 'weird' as in, I have not read anything quite like them before. The storylines shocked me, the characters enveloped me and there are tons of stuff about these books I would recommend (I'll be tagging my full reviews unless they contain spoilers) and tons of themes and symbols you can really get stuck into.

The Fourteen Most Creatively Brutal Deaths in the Iliad (Part 1)
Classical literature gets a bad rap for being boring. People see 'Homer' and their minds instantly glaze over, pre-armoring the brain against an assault of 'so spokes', 'then speakings', and 'thuses' like some ancient and extra-wordy Shakespeare (sorry, Shakespeare). Sure, Homer might have some neat stuff about gods and goddesses, and he might get a little spicy about the ladies, but how cool can a dude who told stories almost 3,000 years ago possibly be?
