Madame - A Movie Review
Did you find your ending? Madame arrived in theaters in 2017. When they are short one visitor, a rich couple uses their maid as a makeshift guest to avoid an unlucky table of thirteen. The evening goes as planned, but a love story must be stopped when an aristocrat falls in love with the maid.

Book Review: "High Crime Area" by Joyce Carol Oates
Yes, it's another JCO book and yes, it's another short story anthology. Why? Well, I've been to a new library and the only one I haven't read in terms of JCO novels from this place is called High Crime Area. I hope I get some more because I honestly do not have the money to buy all of her books. Perhaps one or two, but she hasn't written one or two has she? She's still writing more as we speak and well - I'm never going to have enough money at this rate. Let's take a look at High Crime Area, a short story anthology by Joyce Carol Oates.

Villainess Review: Sheryl Anderson (My Sister's Double Life)
Lifetime has really been delivering when it comes to villainesses lately, and I mean really delivering. It's not just the type of villainesses, it's who they get to play them. Some faces have been new to me, some haven't, and a number of them are doing this whole Lifetime villainess thing for the very first time. Last year's bunch was delicious, but this year's has really been quite epic, and the year's nearly half over.

My Top 10 Favorite Movies of All Time
#1 - The Abyss (9.5/10) A sci-fi masterpiece directed by James Cameron, released in 1989. I will not say anything else about the story here as I do not want to spoil it, but please understand, this film is criminally underrated.

Daria And The Destruction of The Status Quo
Daria was an animated sitcom on MTV in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The titular character is a stoic, sarcastic teenage girl who likes nothing more than for everything to stay the same. She idolizes the status quo, so the show follows her lead, at least for the first two and half seasons.

Book Review: "The Ridge" by Michael Koryta
So I was back in the library and its mid-2025. It's really warm in my apartment and on the whole, it's alright I guess. I'm going to share something with you here: I've lost a lot of hair so I'm going to have to go back to the doctor's office again. But, at least I've got books and, good books like this one. Again, I love horror novels but I'm often very picky about the psychological thriller sub-genre. I think this time, I hit a good jackpot. The Ridge is as weird and terrifying as it is also thrilling and cold. It has a great atmosphere and Koryta's writing is brilliant.

"Beyond the Gates" Week 16 Review
I know I sound like a broken record, but holy moley, this genre needed this show badly. Beyond the Gates is showing the world how soaps are properly done: without immensely overdone drama, without over the top acting, and with much, much needed representation. The other soaps really need to take notes. Beyond the Gates raised the bar. Everyone else is playing catch up, plain and simple.

Book Review: "Stolen Innocence" by Elissa Wall
It's May 2025 and the weather is pretty good. Whilst I'm writing this I'm eating nachos but what's new? There's some interesting stuff out on Kindle sales and so, I've been about. One of those books is called Stolen Innocence by Elissa Wall. It's a true account of the cult perpetuated by the monstrous Warren Jeffs - a man who's evil cannot be put into words. If you've seen the Netflix documentary Keep Sweet, Pray and Obey then you probably know bits and pieces of what I'm talking about. Let's take a look at just what Elissa Wall has to say about this and, content warning: shit's about to get dark.

Analyzing the Growing Concern Centered on the Voice Cast of "The Simpsons"
We all love The Simpsons, don't we? It's the ultimate cross-generational show. I grew up with this show in the 1990s, and even now, it's still on and obliterating that bar set by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera's The Flintstones back in the 1960s. The Simpsons is the ultimate primetime animated series; has been for decades now. I'm barely old enough to remember when the series aired on Thursdays. It's been a Sunday night series for 30 years now.
