I Almost Lost My Best Friend
Dear best friend, We met years ago in the hell we called school. I was the outcast. The loner. The weirdo. And you... you were the pretty one, the one every guy and girl loved. You were the popular one with all the friends. And we were total opposites. I could have never imagined that one day we would be the best of friends and doing everything together. You said hi first. And that was it. That's all it took. A simple "hi"... That's what started it all. It was all up hill from there. We were inseparable. I practically lived at your house. We did everything together. And we never got tired of each other. We could sit for hours just watching TV not saying a word to each other and that was okay, because we enjoyed each other's company. We went through so much together — from boyfriends, heartbreaks, moves and so much more. We were so crazy back then. I still sit and think about those days. I would get detention, so you would too, just so I didn't have to sit alone. You would call in sick... so would I... Everyone was so jealous of the Friendship we had it was perfect... was.

Why People Cancel On You Last Minute
It’s been planned for days. It’s finally Friday afternoon. You’ve just finished work and you are super excited to get ready and go. What am I going to wear, what time should I leave, maybe I should wear that red top instead? And there comes that notification.

People Watching in a Coffee Shop
Coffee shops are one of the most calming places I find myself in these days, second only to used bookstores. Not the chain stores like Starbucks or Carribou, though my Barry Road Starbucks is still a place I frequent often. I’m talking one of a kind coffee places, where you never find the same decor in another place. Places that welcome visitors with one of a kind experiences and flavors to try. Places that are crowded with people from all walks of life, whether hipsters, business men, college students or old couples enjoying the afternoon together. Places that you can plop down in a nice leather chair, sit back with a house cup, and enjoy the atmosphere.

Angel on the Train
It was a day like every other day, James had boarded the train home, the same train he rode every day, at the same time, from the same place. He didn’t pay much attention to others on the train, just sat on his phone, playing games, scrolling through social media, counting the stops to his own.

4 TV Husbands Who Can Teach Guys A Few Things About Marriage
In today's television landscape, happy marriages are as rare as a unicorn sighting in Time Square. Maybe that's because "happily ever after" doesn't bring enough angst or drama. Regardless, over the years, we've watched couples break up, get back together, and usually get their happy ending as the series wraps.

Happily Ever After
I've always dreamed of life as a fairytale. For my whole life, I have been obsessed with Walt Disney's Princesses, especially the redheaded Little Mermaid. I would fantasize over my very own Prince Charming, and wanting to be with the same "Prince" my whole life: from Love At First Sight to Happily Ever After. I learned it was possible, but not likely.

Never Fading
There is a certain time in the day where the inky darkness of night leaves nothing for us to see except for whatever stars are left. I used to feel calm and happy as the dark enveloped my body, but now that you are gone, the nights are always the hardest to face. I was falling for you and yet you turned away. You shoved me in the other direction as though you knew what was good for me or maybe it was so you could protect yourself. I still stayed though… because I thought I could help you or maybe even fix you.

Failing Marriages
Some marriages today are not lasting as long as the vows people take when getting married. The last sentence in the vows is till death do we part. A piece of paper does not keep the marriage together. It takes a lot of work. For some people, they give up when things get tough instead of sticking it out.
