Dear You...
I saw it coming, I knew heartbreak was soon to come and I had no choice but to bear it. Even through the mental step of knowing it was coming, I still couldn't bear it. I became a mess as my entire world shattered around me. Watched everything fall to the ground while I fell with it, shattered, broken, and gone forever. You didn't care if I was going to be okay, all you knew is that you wanted something better.

You Aren't the Man of My Dreams...
Hello, My Love: As I write this, I am thinking about the past three and a half years of our lives we have shared together. Looking back, it feels as though I have only blinked my eyes once and we are already here but also as though an entire eternity has passed between then and now. So much has happened in this time, both joyful and painful, and so much has changed, both in who we are as individuals and in who we are as a pair. And, I must say, I am incredibly proud of the sheer number and intensity of the trials we have survived together and of just how far we’ve come as a couple. I feel as though, despite the challenges we face on a daily basis, we are truly thriving together. And, for that, I am so very grateful.

Express Yourself
Late one night, my new boyfriend at the time and I were talking about some hard topics, like how I felt about myself as a person and how I can be very negative towards myself. When I looked in the mirror, I didn't see any value and this really bothered him. He took me into his arms and began explaining to me how much of an amazing person I was, that I treat him so well and he only wishes I could see myself through his eyes. He put so much of his heart into this conversation that his eyes began to water. I'd never seen him cry before. So, just as I hugged him tighter, he told me he loved me for the first time and that it was okay if I don't love him yet— he just wanted me to know.

Dear New Wife, I was shocked when you chose to move into my old home. I realize that you thought you won when I divorced my husband, but I didn't want to be married to someone who cheated on their wife, but that is your problem now. I mean, you cheat on men who have families and wives. He cheats on women who have had four children with him, so you are meant to be together. I don't know how you are able to trust another — but that is not my worry. I am still appalled that you moved into my home.

There's been the chaperoned, "father approved" dates, so that women would be married by 17, and there was the "met in the bar, turned out he was a looney" kind of date. However, dating in the Millennial generation is increasingly difficult.

Crossroads
Guy is driving behind the wheel, watching Girl sleep as the horizon changes behind them, in the midst of day shifting into night. He wonders if he should wake her, but decides against it for possibly the fifth time in less than an hour, the iridescent light shining off her impossibly beautiful peaceful face. He'd turned off the radio for fear of waking the sleeping goddess beside him. Out of boredom, Guy begins to keep himself company.

There are a few things in my life that are relentless. They just never seem to stop. I think I have a handle on it. I let my guard down. Then, WHOOSH, it is back out of control again. Our First Date
It all started with an app. Tinder actually, my roommate in university convinced me to make a profile. She, being the promiscuous type, was likely to find what she was looking for. Myself, not so much. I talked to a few guys, when I didn't think they were too bad I asked a couple to go for coffee. None were up for such an adventure. So about a month passes, I venture home for Christmas break and as my location changes so do the candidates on this app. I happened to match up with this cute Italian guy, we got to talking and not long after he sends me his phone number via cheesy pick-up line. We texted basically non-stop for about a week then one night, he made a sarcastic remark about what his voice sounds like. I was in a particularly good mood so I was a bit bold, I called him. No warning. After that our days would end with phone calls to each other sometimes lasting four to five hours. We talked about everything our childhoods, past relationships, high school, family, our futures, literally everything. I really enjoyed this guy's conversation and his personality. I asked him if he'd like to meet me in person, I suggested we grab a coffee.

It is a rare and beautiful occasion when venturing out into the mysterious and unpredictable world that your eyes meet with a complete stranger and the two of you know immediately that you are both thinking the exact same thing. For me when I say this is rare, I MEAN RARE, because I tend to have a very unique perspective on things and for someone, that I have randomly floated into my world, to have the same thought process... let’s just leave it at that, it’s rare.
