MERMAIDS
I’ve been recently watching the television series “Sirens” and was fascinated by the subject. As well as being a story in Disney, mermaids have always been in our minds through the centuries. These ‘sea creatures’ have been in our psyche for as long as humans have been around. Such beautiful but dangerous creatures, we “Want” them to be real, as they seem to be the cross-over between the sea animals and humans, after all we love dolphins and would love to swim with them, let alone live with them.

Couple's Cemetery
Fae was on the edge of her seat. Just up the hill, about forty steps from where the car was parked, was the cemetery they were to visit. She had heard about it from her friends before, had visited it several times during the day, usually on Fridays. But tonight, it was different. She had been dared to go up the hill with her crush and try not to get spooked. He was the very definition of tall, dark and handsome and he had the best dimples when he smiled.

The Appointed Hour
00:00:03 00:00:02 00:00:01 Gone. Tiny fleeting moments, here one second and not the next, over and over again until the second that takes our life away. But what then? What happens when there’s no more moments, no more seconds, no more anything. I wish my abnormality helped me answer that question, but instead it just forces my small mind to fight with itself day in and day out, trying to break out of the tiny corner of the universe that it resides in, so that it can understand all the things that it shouldn’t.

Abel’s Anger Abel looks up to the sky looking for answers as the blood drips from his fist, and Mark laid motionless on the ground bleeding profusely. Abel had beat him so bad in what he thought would be a way of justice for what Mark had done. A few hours ago Mark was beating on his girlfriend, the ended up putting her into an ambulance and took her to the hospital, because of the beating Mark had given to her.

Adventures of Kadence
It was a beautiful summer morning. As the Cul de sac slept on, the red orange streams of sunlight made last night’s dew steam off the blades of the freshly mown lawns. Everything was quiet, almost too quiet, when all of a sudden a blood curdling scream caused birds resting lazily in a nearby tree to scatter in panicked spats. “Kadence!” the sound of her name in such a frantic tone ripped Kadence from her peaceful dreams. Jumping from her bed, she tried desperately to locate the cause of the scream.

Seconds to Milliseconds
The deafening grind of the propellers split our ears like a rusty bike spoke. Death was upon us! Bouncing around in our seats like puppets, out popped little golden emergency mouth pieces dangling from the ceiling of the plane. Presumably, three rolls down, and two seats to the left a woman sat struggling viciously with her life vest. Mass hysteria painted on her face like distorted make-up she held her belly tight. Her round belly refused to be strapped in. A pool of water collected in her eyes an streamed down her cheeks as her husband forced the vest closed. “Is she pregnant?”, a passenger asked. His teeth chattering loudly as he murmured, “She’s due any day”, you could sense the worry in his tone.

The Implications of True Belief
This is not the first article ever written on the subject of free will. Whether in relation to God or Government, or both, it seems that most people have had concerns about whether they were truly free, and the implications of their answer to that question.
