Life of an Empath
Being an empath is a blessing and a curse. I started to notice as I got older that for some reason I seem much happier and sadder at times and had absolutely no idea why. It all started when I was minding my own business standing in line at a Safeway. All of a sudden I noticed that there was a single mother with 3 children in line in front of me. As she was trying to calm her children she shakingly grabbed her WIC check out of her purse, glancing around as if someone was watching her. Now this is where it gets weird. All of a sudden I felt so anxious. Almost as if I were having another panic attack. But today it was different. I felt strange almost as if I was standing in this woman’s shoes, as I also started shaking, I had no idea why. As a not-so-gentleman shouted from the end of the line “oh there goes the WIC check!” I instantly turned around and yelled at this man. The woman was clearly embarrassed but I felt like I was speaking for this woman. Almost as if her words were coming out of my mouth. This guy was obviously a jerk. No doubt. But after I finished yelling at this man, I paid for my stuff and just started sobbing in my car. I had no idea why I was so sad, maybe because I felt so bad for this woman but I was still unsure. All I know is I could FEEL the way this woman was feeling.

What I See
Explaining Myself Hi, I’m Niki. This is a story in my point of view about someone I care about. I’m not going to say his name but I will try explaining what I saw. I want to explain what I saw in him that people couldn’t. I want to explain in words people will understand. Some people are damaged and some people are going along with it. People have their own demons and the first thing people do is judge them. In certain situations, you just can’t assume what is going on with that person. We don’t think about if they have been hurt. Not to Believe
Waking up at 5 a.m. to my alarm having no strength to move, so tired I laid there staring at the ceiling not wanting to move. I grab my cellphone to turn the alarm off then I see 6 missed calls I don't recognize but not interested of knowing from whom. I finally gained some strength to get out of bed and I looked myself at the mirror in front of me, I have never been like this I could see my face how tired I am. I could tell I have lost some weight, feel so weak I have no desire to go to going to work I loved my job there was no moment that I hated it but now is not the same. I haven't seen my friends for a while I haven't answered their calls or their text I just want to be left alone. I get my stuff ready to leave and my cellphone rings and when I check to see who it is, it's the same missed calls from earlier but I ignored it and but my cellphone in my bag and I leave to work.

In a relationship there's usually a lot of love, cuddling, giving gifts, complimenting, sex, and everything else to express love and affection. Without any of these aspects, are you really in a relationship? Actually, some people's version of a relationship can be the complete opposite, because not everyone's relationship is the same — there are different types of relationships. But in this case, there's a lot of touching and affection.
