All you need is Love, and Love is all you need.
A Letter to My Partner
My partner and I have been together for five years. It took me two years to open up to him and actually trust him. Sometimes we fight, other times we simply hang together and just enjoy a nice drink or two reading or playing games together.

The Art of Self-Love
Self love: “Regard for one’s own well-being and happiness.” Are you loving yourself today and putting your needs first? It’s ok! If someone tells you you’re being selfish by doing so tell them it’s the most selfless selfish act you could do for you and those you love. Let that soak in...❤️

Love
Human beings are the only species who are capable of giving and receiving this “wonderful” thing we know as love. I put wonderful in quotations because some would describe it totally different. I think we can all agree that love makes one do absurd things. Love is a scary thing, it can be so powerful. If you truly love someone, you’ll go through the depths of hell for them, let the flames ignite your skin. More people commit murder out of deep compassion than pure hatred. We let this thing we call love have a hold on us for what? Lots of human beings are convinced that if you’re not in a relationship, you’re not fulfilled, that if you don’t have a significant other, you can’t possibly be the happiest you can be. Let me tell you this though, you can be alone & not be lonely. If we look at the statistics, more than half of marriages fail and end in divorce. The average marriage only last 13.7 years, while the average life expectancy is 82.2 years. You're supposed to get married & live happily ever after no? Be together forever? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not shaming love or marriage but I do think that lots of people today have made these misconceptions about love. This has a lot to do with admiration and lust, they have a big impact on love. There’s for sure a difference between being in love & having love for someone. But this word love is thrown around like it’s nothing. It’s lost its true meaning. Some believe in love at first sight, I think it’s impossible. That just means you’re attracted to the way they carry themselves. You haven’t loved someone till you’ve witnessed their darkness, entered & traveled around their psyche, and accepted them for who they truly are, with open arms. You have to embrace their flaws, not run from them. When somebody has love for you, it is so apparent. In their words, in their gestures, in their actions—it is obvious. It’s so hard to explain love, it’s just something we feel in every inch of our body, the butterflies in your stomach, something that fills up your heart. We all have our own definitions of love though. The way we perceive love has lots to do with the way we’ve seen love. Our perspective of love changes based on our experiences in life. You love & your learn. You could be with a person for a week & be infatuated, give them your all. You could also be with a person for years & there could never be any genuine love. It’s all about the vibe & connection you feel with someone. I truly believe that everyone has a soulmate, there’s at least one human that your soul is connected to, you were undoubtedly put on this universe to be with that person. I find it’s very rare we end up with that person due to wrong timing or never meeting them.

Unconditional Love
Unconditional love. This is the love that those who are closest to you are meant to have, is it not? Often, the family is used as an example of such a weird concept. You get told that unconditional love is the love that you have for your family and your family has for you.

Never Thought I Would Write About You
I don't feel like I get like this often. But today is the day that I am going to write about the time that I did. I remember the first night, I was honestly terrified when I stumbled in, and with good reason; I was being fucking trailed. I wasn't in the kind of place that you walk around at night by yourself, but of course me being the stubborn independent person that I am, I was doing just that. Stumbling around like no one was going to take notice of my situation or try and take advantage of it. I ducked into your place and it was dead. I think the emptiness made me feel comfortable.

Blinded By Love
The emotion, love, is one of the worst rollercoasters I've ever been on. It's like going on Kingda Ka with the worst hangover: The ride only last about three minutes but it feels close to a lifetime. Once the ride stops and the seatbelt unlocks, you puke all over yourself. All you can think of is that maybe all the "liquor" that went into your system the night before, was really worth it.

Insecurities of a Half Blood
Insecurity. A word that describes a feeling that we as humans feel at one point in our lives. My insecurity most of my life was my heritage. I am half Tongan and half Filipino. Many don’t know where Tonga is, and my whole life I've told people that it's just like Hawaiian and settled for that. Growing up in Georgia and Wisconsin where there was no one like me it was so depressing to me. The kids I went to school with didn't know where Tonga was, or they thought that Hawaii was a country. They also didn’t know what or where the Philippines were. I had to explain that we were like the Japanese, another Asian island.

I’ll Always Just Be the Girl You Want to Sleep With - Never the One You Want to Wake up Next To
I know there’s no story to be told. No promises to be kept. No tears to be shed. I know this because I know you. I know how your mind works. I know you didn’t mean it when you said you loved me. That actually, when you said it, a collage of pretty, skinny, barbie doll girls popped into your mind, and you could have been speaking to any one of them. Take your pick. I’m sure they’d all jump at the opportunity to be your sunshine. I know our yesterdays are over, our tomorrows will never come, and our hearts beat in different patterns. I know your intentions were never sincere and your words never truthful. I know I’ll always be the body you desire to touch, yet never the mind you yearn to explore.
