The Corpse Found on Languid Lane
A jar of jam rested, the lid upturned; half of a loaf of sourdough flakes before the sunlight peered through the glass pane like a voyeur. The gelatinous glucose purée of wild strawberries clung to the glass but left behind a faint trail of rose, resembling the lens of a pair of lunettes. A spoon lay on the eggshell counter; blood pools in the concave shape. A saucer lay beside with the crust of freshly cut bread atop, hanging off the edge with a half-moon impression.

The Most Kissed Face in History
The history of medicine is often a sterile chronicle of clinical trials, chemical formulas, and antiseptic laboratories. However, one of the most vital tools in modern emergency medicine—the CPR training manikin—is rooted in a 19th-century Parisian mystery that feels more like a work of Romantic poetry than a medical breakthrough. Every year, millions of students around the globe tilt back the head of a plastic doll to practice life-saving breaths, looking into the serene, frozen features of a woman known as L’Inconnue de la Seine: The Unknown Woman of the Seine.

Well, unless you’re Lento, and just swim everywhere. There were even reported sightings of him swimming past boats during the rest day trip out to Rotto. As always, it was great to be around the veterans crew once again. So staying true to the everyone’s a winner theme, I will pass on my perspective with a few little recaps.
