Understanding your goals to help you achieve them.
What NOW?
For the past few weeks, I worked on adapting to a new lifestyle, a lifestyle strictly influenced by the world’s reaction to the pandemic. I actively worked on my view of the world, while analyzing personal life decisions. I am not one to regret past choices, I move forward regardless of the circumstances. But this time, I had finally accepted my reality—my altered reality.

The Kind Of Woman I Want To Be
Being a woman in this day and age is really difficult. We live in a society where women still are not fully valued and appreciated for all that they offer. Even so, it’s important to stand strong and be a woman because that’s what the world needs, even if it doesn’t always realize it. Being a woman may be difficult, but there are so many reasons to be proud to be a woman and what that means. And I wanted to share some of the qualities I would like to have as a woman.

Life Keeps Me Moving
Honey, at 76 years young and retired, waking up in the morning is a blessing and gives me the boost I need to start with a mental playlist of things to accomplish for the day. My first goal is to start my stretch routine while still in the bed. Press my belly button in and hold it for a count of ten for ten times and then stretch legs and arms to make sure I can still move, and sit up. Arms up, I take a deep breath through the nose and out through the mouth, which reminds me to get up and brush my teeth (which I am blessed to still have). I smile in the mirror to make sure I have not had a stroke during the night and then all is good to go. I turn on my cell-phone in case I have any calls from family or friends, but spam calls seem to rule which is very annoying. I shower and get dressed for my morning 2 mile walk with my sister on our Yellow River trail. I have my breakfast bar with a bottle of water to wash the vitamins down and my blood pressure medicine. Then I head out.

Open Up Your Mind
Everybody has some sort of dream that they spend their life trying to make come true. Wether it be company you dream of taking over, or even a dream of taking over the world, we still crave the reality of the dream. Some people have big dreams and some people have small dreams, but what is it that makes every dream similar? What do our dreams have in common? I grew up in a small town, where dreams was all we have, but making those dreams come true was a great challenge where I'm from because of the small community we lived in. There wasn't much opportunity for growth in my town, and in order to accomplish our goals we would have to move away to a city where the possibilities are endless. What if I told you that there is a way to make your dreams come true no matter where you are? What if I told you there is a way that you can make success come to you like a pizza delivery? As much as we don't want to accept it, times are changing and the way we live now is evolving faster then we may think. In order to be successful, you have to be able to adapt to change. As much as we hate to change our routine, it must happen in order to keep up with the evolution of life. Our mind is our most valuable weapon. We only use one side of our brain, and look at all the amazing things our minds have led us to create. Think if we trained ourselves to control that other side, the mystery side of our brain how much more powerful we could be. Maybe we could have the intelligence to travel to Mars and beyond, maybe we could control our dreams. I'm not saying that we could be superman or batman, but what if that mystery side holds superpowers that we didnt know exist? Masters of ki have already been able tap into this mystery side of the brain, but that's only touching the surface. If there was a way to utilize this power, could we cheat death? Could we make things move with our mind? Could we control the outcomes of situations? Could we change they way of life? If a virus can cause a global pandemic and shut the planet down, being how tiny they are, dont you think that we hold an unknown power that's stronger than any other force? As humans we a raised to live a certain way, to believe in certain ways. We are raised live our lives on a daily routine. This blocks us from seeing our full potential. This stops us from chasing our dreams and living to our full potential. Believing that there is only one way of life is what stops us from being all we can be. If we open our mind and expand our beliefs we would be training that mystery side. Possibilities become impossible when we live on a routine. If we opened our minds to the bigger picture, and be open to new beliefs, as well as being able to adapt to change, we would hold the power. I encourage everyone to train themselves to be more open minded. I challenge you to change your daily routine. Learn something new everyday because knowledge is power, therefore knowledge is the key to that mystery side of our brain. Once we have the key, we can open our minds and let that power come out, making humans a force we never thought we could become.

Find Your Light And Radiate
Ever since I was 13 years old I have had to deal with living with Type 1 diabetes. Life has been a crazy roller coaster ride since then. It’s now 10 years later and the challenges I face every day are still as new and fresh as the day I was admitted to that hospital. There are so many negative aspects about having a chronic illness but instead of dwelling on those things I try to find as many ways as possible to feel positive, healthy and above all happy.

Routines
Since I suffer from anxiety, bi-polar, acute depression & psychosis, and I am a single mom, I have learned that what helps me is a routine. Children thrive off of routine, and it makes adult life a lot easier to manage. Another thing that I have learned while dealing with my daily struggles is that taking things one day at a time and taking time to breathe can make your life a lot simpler. A simple life is a happy life. A happy life encourages a long life. Because I am not perfect, my routine is not the same every day, but I do have a basic go-to routine if I see my day is starting to get away from me.

STORY OF MY LIFE
My book is a life-long work in progress as is that of every person. I hope it will be long. Some are so short. I know that the last chapter will only be finished at my last breath whenever that takes place. Because my book is still being written, I do not know where it will take me or who I will meet along the way. I do however, know where it has been, though I may not understand why the plot has often twisted so much, why some of the characters have been removed from the plot or why some of them have been villains rather than heroes. I suppose that without a few villains a story would be boring, so I can easily say that my story is and will continue to be a very fascinating tale.
