MY GREEN TEMPLE
Swirling and dancing in the air, a tiny leaf lands softly on the ground. I’m mesmerized by all of my favourite shades of green on this one leaf, all merging into one another like water-coloured paint after it’s been spritzed with H20. How truly beautiful something so simple can be. I take a long, deep breath and consciously feel the dew-filled air and the sweet smell of pine enter my body. This breath feels familiar to me. I know I have arrived.

Love letter to the suffering artist
We all come to the point of being at a crossroad of choosing a life or career path. It’s really one decision for both of these things. You’re not just deciding on a career, you will be devoting most of your life to this. You want it to be something of your own creating. You want it to be your love child, your homegrown flower.

Isolation
Its been about four months since I wrote my last piece here, which I originally intended to follow up much sooner than this. But then again, time hasn't exactly been something I'm keeping much track of these days. Four months ago we had been self isolated to our home for three months. By standard math, that makes this seven, going on eight months at home. Can you imagine that? Eight months staying in one place, not leaving for work or school, not being able to go out or see friends. Its a form of hell, for sure.

A Healthy, Happy Mind in 3 Steps
Nutrition Your diet is the foundation of your overall well being, because the foods you consume contribute the resources that your body needs in order to function properly. Everyone has at least some idea of how nutrition affects your physical health, but it also has a profound impact on your mind, as well. For example, a zinc deficiency can contribute to depression, and so can vitamin D. Adequate nutrition can impact your mental well being in numerous ways, both directly and indirectly. Therefore you need to understand your body’s dietary needs and the contents of the foods you eat in order to meet those needs. Carbs are the energy source that your body prefers, and a lack of energy can put you in a worse mood. Failing to address this problem over time can cause your mental health to decline. You can also use supplements to make managing your diet a lot simpler. Vitamin D supplements can help with fatigue and depression, and the Thrive patch promotes energy and mental clarity.

Monday Motivator
Monday mornings are not welcomed with open hearts and arms. Most people dread Monday. I wrote this short article as a quick pick me up. I understand we live in a drive-through same-day delivery society and we never have time for anything unless we lose track of time scrolling, or we’re watching Netflix. One of my jobs is doing three-minute surveys, and they spend two minutes explaining to me they don’t have time.

The Importance Of Always Maintaining A Positive Attitude
As I gently encountered consciousness this morning and greeted this new day (surprisingly without the aid of my alarm clock) I can't help feeling optimistic about the future. There are a lot of naysayers and professors of doom and gloom, but I'm afraid I refuse to subscribe to that way of pessimism.

THE MIRROR
One day she looked in the mirror. She didn’t like what she saw. So she looked at herself, and told herself change needed to happen. Sometimes when you don’t like who you see or Or what you see, change just needs to happen. She was growing angry and her self-esteem but slow.

The Venture into Fae and Frogs during Quarantine: Cottagecore Edition
Being locked in one’s house really can make one feel trapped into their bubble. For those of us that are more introverted, we probably thought this wouldn’t be as difficult to cope with. Turns out, when we are locked against our will in less than favorable conditions most of us will crave external stimuli.

i choose my mental health over my 9 to 5 job during covid-19
My initial goal was completed Goal setting is the key to everything, it gets you to focus on what you want and work your way to the things you need to do to get there. Having no goal makes you a bit scattered and might even find yourself lost. Working for a money machine corporation was such an unexpected turn in my life, I didn’t realize I would even consider it. Do you even know what my initial goal was to myself? I wanted to have my own office. It sounds so stupid and silly, but hey, you can’t judge something that I’ve done pretty well for a small goal. My first step was asking, “How can I get recognized to be where that guy was sitting.” And for the last 4 years, I took all the steps that made me get there.
