Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
Motivation to Be Yourself. Top Story - November 2018.
I am going to start with an introduction of the past me, the me that I've been on a year long journey to repair. I am Alexis Runyon. I've gone by many names: FatboyJefferson on Wattpad, GutterGurl on Soundcloud, and Yoshii Dey on Instagram. I kept trying to hide myself and my identity while also making my talents prominent. That isn't a way to live. I've learned you either embrace it or stay hidden. I have depression, anxiety, stage fright, little confidence in myself, and so many more flaws. I've been through the ringer, but the vow I made myself forced me to become who I am today; and I absolutely love myself.

Before You Can Soar, You Must First Learn How to Fly
Do you take time out for you? To do the things you love and enjoy that put that dashing smile on your face. It's so important to maintain self-care daily. While it may be something many even myself overlook it's necessary. We need to build ourselves up, lift our own spirits, and fall in love with our ownselves each and every day.

Dissatisfaction
In our lives we have enough influences that bring us down to mediocrity, depression, and overall dissatisfaction. We are often distracted by the many bright and shiny objects that surround us. Often, these objects distract us from the good parts of life. They don't just distract us from the things that merely make our lives appear more successful to others, but they distract us from meaningful changes in our character.

5 Keys to Finding Happiness
Before we get started, what is happiness? It's hard to find something when you're unsure exactly what it is that you're trying to find. This makes the journey to a "true" happiness quite hard for most people. When you reach your goals, are you happy or do you strive further? Wanting more, and more, and more. I think everyone defines happiness slightly differently, but I am going to define it as reaching comfort in your own skin, as well as comfort with your social and work life.

30 Days of Being Thankful Pt.3
Day 20 I am thankful that I have a friend that knows the truth about my mother-in-law, and I can talk to her when I can't talk to my husband. When I am feeling nothing is ever going to get better, I know I can talk to her. I don't want to hurt my husband, but sometimes I just need to vent—sometimes, and she understands that.

30 Days of Being Thankful Pt.2
Day 9 I am thankful that 16 years ago, today, I gave birth to the best little man ever. His birth was not an easy one, but now he is a very healthy young man. He is a private in JROTC, he is saved by the Lord, he gets good grades in school, and he is a mentor to other French students. He is a loving, caring, and sweet boy. He was a boy, now he is growing into a great young man. A man a mother could be proud of. He is picking the right friends. He goes to church. He really makes a mama proud.

30 Days of Being Thankful Pt.1
What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? Why are we only thankful only around Thanksgiving or when we go to church, but most people aren't thankful most days. We as humans have something to be thankful for each day we just have to find what it is. Here's my month of being thankful. What are you thankful for this holiday season?

Normality: Determines or Abstains
Isn't it tiring when people who have no importance in our lives are feeling the constant need to ask to prove if we are good enough? And they make you question yourself, why can’t I be like a normal person, like them who just can’t get enough of each other accepting their miserable faces of boring choices... but define what is fucking normal? Maybe me sitting, having a battle (not a bottle, well that too, but a bit later) with my thoughts about what is real, makes me more normal than those people who reflect their projection of normality on me. And they are the first ones to vocalize what is good or bad, of course after watching some couching films made by people who think they are wiser than anyone else because they have enough self love to post themselves on Facebook. Like this is suddenly an indicator of the truth, LOL. Sure it is (rolling my eyes). Irony of life, eh?

Being One with Your Soul
There should be no limits to which you feel that care is not deserved, no bounds to which you must think of what you must do to deserve it. Self love, is not "I feel strong today, I am worthy today" it is, "I feel weak today, what is it I must do to feel strong again." We live in such an achievement based society that we are naturally more geared to feel that way and instead of us putting away our notions of egotism to conform to the image society wants, we need to see the image in the mirror as what we want. To be content with yourself fully is part of self love. It is not, "I must be better and more like them and then I will be happy." It is knowing that despite the quirks and supposed flaws you are worth loving and nurturing for the simple fact that you are human and you are alive.

A Guide to Happiness
Happy. Feeling content. Showing pleasure, being carefree. There are many many definitions of staying happy, but they don't apply to everyone. For a lot of people out there, as well as myself, it can be hard to find a reason to stay happy. There can be so many things that can come in the way of our happiness, and it sucks. We don't have any control over our emotions, for example, when you hear about something happy, your initial reaction is excitement and joy but if you get sad news, or something goes wrong it can make you very sad. I think of our lives as an emotional roller coaster. Sometimes its going up, but sometimes it's going way down. But fear not, I'm here to tell you five ways you can stay happy, no matter what. :) Now this is just a guide, it may not help you, but you may find it helpful. This is just what I think might help you.

Declutter Your Life
January is usually the time where we try to start fresh with new goals or habits. April rolls around and we try to get rid of all our things that we don't need/want anymore and make room for summer items. Doing these things and starting over is so refreshing for your house, closet and all things materialistic, but what about your mind? What things are you still holding onto that you know you need to let go? When are you going to start making room for new things to fill your mind and help you flourish into the person you want to become.
