happiness
Happiness, defined; things that help you find happiness, keep it, and share it with others.
Loving Yourself
First thing's first, yes the title to this blog is a little cliché, and I know you're probably preparing yourself for a load of inspirational bull, but normally, I'm not an inspirational person. Judging by the title, you've probably made numerous assumptions about me. Let's clear all this up. No, I'm not a vegan. No, I'm not spiritual, and no, I don't do yoga. All in all I'm a pretty grounded person, but I do love myself, and you should love yourself.

Becoming an Adult Far from Everything
One year ago, I took the plane to cross the ocean. Six hours later, I was in an other dimension: North America. Quite a big deal for a 18-year-old boy who's never lived far from his family. I was completely unconscious. I did not even know what I was doing... But I did it.

Be the Black Sheep
Many of us “sheep” of society choose to base our everyday life and actions on whatever’s going on in the world. We always find ourselves going everyday with the flow of society. It’s easier to make friends and get followers that way anyways right..? While very few of us “black sheep” of society rather go the hard way. If you asked me I say it's the hard way or the highway; Following a blind society is something that kills our energy, beats us into depression, and drives us to be anxious. Tell me, where does your happiness truly lie? I highly doubt its in following some of the latest trends in society.

Stones
“I’m telling you, it’s all in the motion.” She holds the stone in her hand and winds her arm back. Knees bent, eyes squinted, and focused on the water. Then, almost as graceful as it is forceful, she chucks the smooth, edgeless stone at the surface of the water and watches it skip.

The Search for Enlightenment
Searching for Enlightenment I have always believed that happiness is something to be found. That one day I will find someone or something that will make me think "Yeah, I'm finally happy." A sudden change in feelings where all the years of hurt disappear, and all you feel is joy. You can live the rest of your life in total tranquility.

A Series of Fortunate Events
I have always been one to look back in reflection of months and years past. This past year is no exception especially since it has shaped me into who I am at this very moment, typing on my laptop late at night. Like many people out there, I thought I had an idea of what I wanted out of life but like many others, I was still somewhat adrift, searching for some meaningful purpose in life and now that I have finally figured out a couple of paths I wish to continue on in life, I thought I'd share them.

Feel the Fear and Try to Do It Anyway
So three weeks since I first took the plunge, I am happy to report that I'm still going in and have only actually missed three mornings. It's become a ritual now and even though when I wake up, the prospect of a sea plunge isn't always instantly appealing, by the time I've walked through the fields, woken up, and warmed up, the sea dip halfway is now an essential part of the day.

How to Remain Positive When Surrounded by Negativity
Everyone is entitled to happiness. Everyone is also entitled to go through difficult times. But what if people are making your life so miserable that you lose sight of your happiness? That’s when you have to tell yourself that you will overcome it. That’s when you have to tell yourself to think positive and focus on the good things that are in your life—even if other people try to convince you otherwise. It’s difficult, but it can be done. It’s important to remember that those who are criticizing you and trying to bring you down are probably just jealous of you because of all that you have already accomplished. They might be so miserable in their own life, that the only thing they know how to do is insult other people to try to make themselves feel better. But that doesn’t mean that you have to remain miserable.
