How Living in a Residential Facility Has Changed My Life For the Better
On August 1st 2018, my life changed for the better of my mental health and future. After being on the waiting list for a 1-bedroom apartment from June 2017-May 2018, I finally received the positive news: I would be moving out from my family home for the first time. When my dad found out I was off the waiting list, and informed me of the possibility of moving out in the summer of 2018, he called me as I was out in the community dog walking. After he notified me, my heart pounded in excitement. This was going to be a huge change for me, but it was for the best of my mental health and future. As the weeks went by, I began to experience intrusive thoughts and a few mental health episodes in which I would cry, have trouble sleeping, perseverate on the same worry, and experience full-on panic attacks. That being said, the feelings of excitement, joy, nervousness, sadness, and disbelief didn't vanish until August 1st 2018, when I moved into my own apartment in an apartment complex for people with different abilities.

Kick The Door In
Kick the Door In! Sitting poolside one afternoon, an actor friend of mine told me of a recent production he was in where he played the role of a cop. In one particular segment he was supposed to open a door and enter the crime scene. The set piece malfunctioned quite a bit throughout the entire run of the show and he found it difficult to actually open the door. This delayed his arrival many times and caused a struggle before each entrance. The door was ill framed and barely on its hinges. My friend said it wouldn’t take much just to kick it in and walk onto the scene. Since the play was a comedy, and he was portraying a cop, he thought, more than once, of making his entrance by kicking the door in and bursting onto the scene. He suggested that on their last performance he should kick the door in. He guessed the audience would roar in laughter. He made this suggestion to his fellow cast members who heartily approved and encouraged him to do so.

4 Signs You Are on A Successful Path
Successful people don’t have similar habits and thinking. they don't think like an ordinary person. If you also feel that you don't have similar thinking that other ordinary people have, you may be on a successful path which is your main goal.

Fresh New Start
Fresh New Start. Resolution means to resolve something that is an issue. When I break down the word it literally shows me the energy the universe is reading from this intention RE- “Do again” Solve “find solution” it sets into motion the energy of Re solving an issue.

I'll Start on Monday
I must say that I have had multiple fresh starts since I became a conscious adult. I might have had a few fresh starts as a child as well, influenced by my families' fresh starts. At some point at 16 years of age, I actually believed that nothing else would help me follow my dreams than moving to another country. And I did, I moved. I jumped in the deep, dark beyond and I didn't have any fear. This was my fresh start, the place that would allow me to be my best self.

A Divine Symphony
Imagine for a moment the most beautiful, most exquisite musical instrument. Let’s say a piano. A stunning piece, hand crafted to perfection like nothing you’ve ever seen before. It gleams and glistens like it has been carved from one huge, single diamond, throwing beams of light of amazing colours in every direction. It really is one of the most beautiful things you have ever seen.

New Year, Improved Me
In the beginning of this year I didn't have a list or any idea of what kind of goals I wanted to have for the upcoming year. I am happy with myself and my accomplishments in 2020 regardless of its circumstances. As we fell into the first week of January I came to a recognition. I'm perfectly fine with myself and have gained an excellent sense of self esteem and confidence, however, I could always improve little habits of mine to help build myself even higher and make the most out of the years to come. I started to think of some small changes I wanted in my daily life such as exercise and reading. Remembering to floss my teeth every night cause lets be honest, almost no one does that without lying. I started reading a book called "Atomic Habits" by James Clear and it is by far the best book I've ever read. Its a habit guide to steer you towards realistic and modifiable ways to break bad habits and create lasting good ones. I've started implementing its behavior strategies into my daily life to replace bad habits such as procrastination and overall laziness. I would use cues to help reduce my use of my phone and time watching television. For example I would read the book "Atomic Habits" during every break at work instead of aimlessly scrolling through social media or watching Netflix. Reading this book soon became a craving. I would be excited when my break came around even though only ten minutes long, I would use that time to gain more knowledge on how to better myself. My colleagues became aware of my actions and have even called me a self-fixer and wanted a copy of the book. At home I would use temptation bundling by right after I had a smoothie, I would work out and it wasn't intel I finished working out could I take a shower and then either read or write such as this contest or a school assignment.

Become An Enlightened Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur Henry Ford once said, “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” When Steve Jobs announced he was going to put a thousand songs in your pocket, people said he should stick with computers, and when Bill Gates dropped out of college, no one could’ve foreseen the success of Microsoft.

Brewed Awakenings
On January 1, 2017 I opened a small drive through coffee stand in the charming seaside town of Seward, Alaska. Although I had never been a barista before I had experience in the food industry and management. When you make espresso, it is particularly important that the grind is correct, you tamp properly and that your shot is extracted in a certain amount of time. In Alaska espresso is revered. And I am not stating that lightly.
