Dogs
All my life I've grown up with big dogs. Granted I'm only 18-years-old at the moment. And for 14 and a half years, I wanted a dog I could call mine. This last November, I finally got my dog, Ripley. She is a German Shepherd mix with I don't know what, but she is so cute. I love her so much. I love Jorja and Opie as well. But if you read the subtitle, there are four names. Sadly a couple of weeks ago I had to put down a 14/15-year-old red nose pitbull. Chaos was a very good-looking dog and he was the most cuddly and sweetest dog. Then came Jorja who thinks she runs the house and doesn't like other dogs whatsoever. It sucks but we manage not to have any dogs fights.

You May Call It Puppy Love
Funny thing about friendship: It can last forever or it can end just as abruptly as it began. The first time you meet, that bond is formed. Meet Gracie and her BFF puppy friend, Limit. I don't find their friendship to be any more different than mine. These two were purchased with the sole purpose of someday becoming "GREAT" duck hunting dogs. Gracie belongs to my husband and I while Limit belongs to our next door neighbors. They differ in age but not by much. When these two met, Limit was going on five months while Gracie was just reaching nine weeks. An instant friendship started from day one. They became inseparable and did pretty much everything together including getting into trouble. What they didn't know was just how short-lived that friendship would become. You see, in order to become a good hunting dog, four months of training has to happen and since Limit was the oldest, he would soon be leaving to start his journey while Gracie stayed behind and waited her turn. This is their short but cute furry friendship story.

A Letter to Our Companion
I’ve had you since you were exactly three weeks old. I was four months away from having my little blessing and I thought, the perfect thing would to have a kitten grow up along side her. Statistics seem to show that a child is happier when there’s a companion by their side. You were that. And so much more.

Top 3 Things I've Learned from Having a Dog
Well, let me start off by saying, yes my dog is like my baby to me. I am truly one of those fur baby mamas and I am proud to be one! In the picture above is my baby in the front. His name is Benji, he is currently 1-year-old, and he is a Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso mix. His cousin in the back is a Beagle, 2-years-old, and his name is Deadpool! Yup, you read that right, Deadpool! My brother is a Marvel fanatic and it's his dog so he had the right to name him whatever he wanted. Anyways, today I wanna kinda sum up what these fur babies have taught me so far.

Two More Southern Resident Orcas Are Ailing—and Three Are Pregnant
According to researchers who are focused on the Southern Resident orca population, two more whales are falling ill as a result of the lack of salmon they depend on for their survival. The first animal in question is K25, also known as Scoter. He's a 27-year-old adult male who has been documented in aerial photographs for the last decade. Researchers say that in recent weeks, Scoter has been showing signs of becoming thinner than he was in previous years. The trouble for the endangered mammal began last year when his mother, K13, also known as Skagit, died. This is because Skagit, like all orca matriarchs within the Southern Resident pods, helped her family and other pods in navigating the Salish Sea for salmon before capturing and sharing the newly caught prey. Male orcas rely on help from their mothers, sisters, female cousins, nieces, and aunts to find and track down prey and meet their much larger energy demands. Studies have shown that adult orca males tend to have higher risks of dying following their mothers' deaths. This puts Scoter at a higher risk of dying.

Morgan, a Rescued Killer Whale Gives Birth at Loro Parque
Morgan, an 11-year-old killer whale who resides at Loro Parque has kicked off the first day of fall by giving birth to her first calf yesterday morning (Spain's local time). According to her trainers and veterinarians, the newborn calf healthy, but are having trouble determining its gender, due to Morgan being very protective of it. This is because the second the calf came into the world, Morgan proved herself to be an excellent mother by attending to her newborn. However, the animal care staff at Loro Parque will continue to monitor the pair in case they need to intervene if things are to go wrong between mother and calf.

Pug Life
When I first decided to adopt a fur baby I wasn’t really overly fussy about breeds. I was more than happy to rescue an animal from the humane society. But my boyfriend of the time, really wanted a Pug. A male, fawn pug. So that’s what we went with. I tried to do some research on the breed beforehand but I found the information that was out there wasn’t entirely accurate. Here’s a brief list of things to know before picking a Pug:
