Rules for Authors 2026

Remember Control the Masses? Word Patrol 2026

I am sharing these notes because it is not about me but about the authoritarian system under which we are living. One Need to research rules for authors, artists, etc.

AI now has new guidelines. As an author and artist, I am required to present any creative work involving the paranormal, dream logic, or apparitions as fictional and intended solely for entertainment purposes. I cannot say this is a true story anymore. I cannot say I spoke with my grandma ten years from 1975 to 1985. When I construct a story about a true experience, I cannot say that. I must tell my story and all characters are fictional. I must downgrade any type of indigenous belief systems about ancestors, etc. as fictional stories and just tell my readers I lied.

The concern that using supernatural terminology is "not grounded" and "dangerous" stems from viewpoints that prioritize scientific, psychological, or theological safety, cautioning against blurring the line between reality and fantasy or inviting negative spiritual consequences. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Based on common discussions around paranormal, occult, and fantasy themes, here are the general guidelines and perspectives regarding "rules" for using such terminology:

1. Psychological or Rational Reasons Why It Is Considered "Unfounded"

Absence of Empirical Proof: Supernatural assertions are not verifiable by scientific approaches or legal proceedings, as they inherently exist beyond natural, observable, and measurable phenomena.

Replacing Logic: Turning to supernatural explanations can sometimes serve as an escape from carefully investigating when natural causes are not immediately apparent.

• Mental Health Concerns: In some contexts, constantly attributing, analyzing, or obsessing over paranormal activity (like demons or curses) is seen as disregarding mental health, anxiety, or psychological explanations. [6, 7, 8, 9, 10]

2. Why It Is Considered "Dangerous" from a Spiritual or Metaphysical Point of View

• Inviting Negative Influence: In theological or occult traditions, using specific terminology (e.g. During spirit communication or rituals, some believe this process may invite negative entities.

• Responsibility and Fear: Some warn that delving into areas like mediumship or tarot can lead to "real spiritual danger," particularly if not approached with caution or spiritual protection (e.g., prayer).

• Psychological Vulnerability: Others suggest that immersing oneself in dark, supernatural, or occult terminology can lead to paranoia, fear, or mental instability. [8, 11, 12, 13, 14]

3. Rules for Responsible Use (In Writing or Discussion)

If you are dealing with fictional or creative writing, the "rules" focus on consistency rather than avoiding the terms entirely:

• Internal Consistency: If you have ghosts, monsters, or magic, they must have established consistent limitations (a "rule set").

• Grounding in Reality: Even if the story is about supernatural, the characters and settings should feel real and grounded, making the "weird" stuff more impactful.

• Avoid Cliches: Move beyond tired tropes to make the terminology or concepts original. [15, 16, 17]

4. Code of Ethics (Interpersonal)

Respectful Communication: In settings like spiritual care, using words that insult, harass, or threaten someone because of their beliefs is strictly prohibited.

• Respect for the Dead/Spirits: If dealing with topics like hauntings, some advice treating the subjects with respect, recognizing them as formerly living beings. [12, 18]

In summary: The "danger" often cited is psychological distress or, in theological terms, attracting negative energy. When looking into these subjects, critics recommend keeping a practical approach: defining terms precisely, avoiding treating them as truly real in daily situations, and do not letting them take the place of reasonable, natural explanations.
