corruption
A prime locale to talk bribery, suspect campaign funding, and all other instances of political corruption. The shadier, the better.
American Nightmare
America was founded on the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The contradictory nature of these ideals become evident through the mechanisms by which they are attained, for none of them can be maintained or achieved without prescribing oneself to a culture of monetarism and profitability that is in direct conflict with the sustainability and cultivation of life.

Grenfell Tower Burned a Year Ago
When I found out what had happened, I was with my mum. We sat in silence for ten minutes before she turned to me and said, "We used to live in the borough when you were first born. In a building near there. Before we got the flat in Clapham. They were death traps then, too."

Against All Odds
It is quite apparent that the DNC, as well as the most of our political leaders, continues to be oblivious to the real crisis facing America today. Not only are they noncommittal to the mounting inequality, but are intent in duplicating the travesty of the last Presidential Primary. Need we remind everyone of what happened in New York, Puerto Rico, and in so many other states where the DNC purposely committed voter fraud in denying Senator Sanders's bid for the nomination?

America's Colonialist Relationship with Puerto Rico. Top Story - May 2018.
Politicians are in league with corporations hellbent on destroying an entire American territory. High unemployment, high poverty, austerity measures, natural disaster, and an unwieldy amount of debt: it sounds like something an evil cabal would admit to in an 80s action movie right before the team of Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone blow the whole place up. But year after year, such justice doesn't come. And, unfortunately, too few Americans care because that territory is Puerto Rico.

Fake Art, Fake Government, Fake Democracy
An art gallery in France has just discovered most of its exhibits are fakes. They found out after experts looked at the pictures. Had it been the UK, a third rate Tory would have been wheeled out to say we are tired of experts and they would have carried on as normal. As it was that benighted (because it is not England), miserable (because it is not England), ignorant (because it is not England) country they withdrew the exhibits and are being threatened with a fraud charge.

Understanding Men's Rights Activists and Their Lingo
Men's Rights Activists (MRA) think that they're taking arms against a world that's changing for the worse but, in reality, they're dragging their feet in the face of much-needed progressive evolution. Rather than representing a marginalized group on the edge of oppression, MRAs are actually the ones doing the oppressing and benefiting from a system rigged in their favor.

Songs About Police Brutality
Sometimes a song is the fastest and the most emotionally evocative way to communicate a lesson. You can read a book, watch a movie, and even subject yourself to raw cam footage of grizzly police violence, but what music is able to communicate is simultaneously both feeling and narrative. In doing so, the issue is both illuminated and complicated. That's why songs about police brutality are indispensable; they both shape the conversation and are the conversation in and of themselves. Crank up these jams, get woke, and shut it down! No justice; no peace; no racist police!

Madmen
In no other time in our history has there been such corruption and insanity coming from Washington and especially the White House. Trump and his henchmen have all but obliterated the Constitution. Now, with the world turning its eyes toward Syria after another so-called chemical weapons attack on the Syrian people our fearless leader has taken it upon himself to interfere with military action that has global repercussions. Unlike President Obama, Trump and his henchmen have made matters much worse than ever before. His reaction has been completely idiotic, something only a madman would only do.

International Interference in American Elections
International interference in domestic elections. In the media, there are claims that the United States of America is accusing Russia of “tampering” with their (U.S.) election. To a Brit in England, this seems a pointless raising of contention, and makes me consider whether President Trump or his enemies, have an ulterior motive.
