This Year Remembering My Father Died From Falling Off The Roof Helped Me.
I never thought that when my father fell and broke his neck in 1964 and when my mother broke her neck when she fell in 2009, I could be so impacted. Another part of me says, well of course! That only makes sense.

What If The World Really Was Purple Every Evening
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. As I comment to myself that line, I hear, “Oh my,” coming from the wife. “Poetry in motion. I wish I could take a notion and be with you at night to see what you see.”

February is Black history month. And like American Indian history, most people in the United States know very little about Black history. I met people from Russia that had to learn about America before they could enter the United States to live.

A Poem A Day In February Contest
I worked with the young man who wrote the poem above. He died and left a wife and a young son. His son turned six this month. His wife placed the above photo on a post on Facebook and I thought it would be a great prompt for a contest. I asked friends to use the poem to inspire them.

A person can get tired just thinking about this week. A friend asked if I wanted to get together this evening for an hour or so and I felt sick at the time. I wanted to go to bed. I didn’t but that is what I had in mind.
