What exactly is a ‘Karen?’
I have always found it fascinating how slang words appear from nowhere and become part of our common language. The term ‘Karen,’ or to put it in the correct context; ‘Oh God, she’s being a Karen!’ is one that seems both funny and offensive at the same time.

I Wanted to Be Vegan
After leaving home, I began toying with the idea of becoming a vegan. But having lived alongside a carnivorous family, the industrial breeding and destruction of innocent animals just didn’t seem to register enough in my psyche to warrant a big effort. I was born in the predominantly white population of Northern Ireland in 1972. This will sound crazy to some people, but for the first 25 years of my life, the only connection I had to another culture was through an Indian boy in my high school.
