Softness and Strength - Balancing Life
I go to yoga classes and “practice” the art of strength and softness in my poses. It is quite remarkable how the slightest micron of a movement can change the way the body feels from head to toe in the minutiae of sinewy muscle variations. Where pain resides, it can be transformed into strength and a shift in both perception and feeling. Ease enters the fascia, and the burn in the muscle tissue turns into a warm inviting message/massage. I lean in to await the universal wisdom in the softness/strength balance of life that permeates my thoughts on a daily basis.

When Angels Speak - Channeling Madeline
I have been guided to share this message with you. “Dear Grandma: I know I am on your mind today because, of course, it is the day that I passed. I know you are hurting so please bear with me what I am about to say. I know you love me, I know you want me back in your life, but I simply can’t. I have moved on to a new energetic way of being and I am asking, no, begging you to do the same. I see you struggle to find love, acceptance, and a place in the world that makes sense to you. I am telling you that you are loved and accepted every moment of every single day, because you were created to serve and shine your light brightly. It doesn’t matter that what you feel with your earthly senses cannot “see” what I see. I know it for a certainty. You do have a purpose and you are living it, even if you don’t know it. The universe knows and I am sharing this wisdom with you. Don’t play small. Don’t listen to the ones who tease, mock, or abuse you. You are on the right path, you are deeply loved, and this short journey you are on is just a microcosm of an infinite performance that you are a player in. Every breath you take contributes to the uplifting of souls. Embrace your life and live without the fear of letting me go. I know you have grieved, I know you have suffered. Now, I want you to get on with your life, live to the fullest and don’t ever think that I measure how long you have grieved for how much you loved me. It is palpable. I love, love, love you. I am here always.”

Procrastination - Rearranging The Deck Chairs on The Titanic
A friend once said to me that procrastination was like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. While it made for alternate seating arrangements, the damn boat was sinking and life jackets were needed – quick. There was action, but, not the kind required to have any positive effect on the lives of the passengers.

Trickery and Deception - Sea Monkeys
Who remembers Sea Monkeys? As an 8 year old kid with wide eyes and a penchant for being duped by the cleverest of schoolmates, I was hooked. The magical, intriguing offer on the back of the Archie Comic Book enticed me to send my hard earned money away, for the opportunity to grow Sea Monkeys. Prodded, encouraged and pushed, I filled out the form, paid my $1 plus postage and waited, and waited, and waited for them to show up in the mail.

Let Go Of The Fear of Fear - I Double Dog Dare You!
“Do one thing every day that scares you.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt Fear; you can’t escape it. Imagine a shift in perception, where fear is exhilarating, fun, joyous, and makes you giddy with giggles of anticipation. I ride the roller coaster every year at the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, and every year I smile inwardly awaiting the day and the moment I get to climb the first hill that sends me careening down the rails at warp speed, knowing there is an infinitesimal chance that the car will fly off the tracks into the abyss, taking me with it, crashing into the crowd below in a flurry of screams.

Bird At The Window
Have you ever wondered how spirit communicates on the earth plane? Have you ever had goose bumps, whispers, hot or cold sensations, the smell of smoke or perfume for no earthly reason? That is spirit speaking to you in subtle ways to deliver messages, showing you that you are not alone, and, that you are surrounded by loved ones.

Gratitude
Almost 10 years ago I had a stroke in the amygdala of my brain. This is where unhealed trauma resides. I was 55. This left me with weakness on my entire right side, effecting my arm, leg, and right side of my face. I would choke on food, slur my speech, and infuriatingly and frustratingly, stumble on my words. I would have the word apple in my head. I could describe the colour, size, texture, the crunch etc. , but could not say apple. I fell often and developed a chronic habit of bruising myself. My mother died two weeks earlier from a “massive” stroke. This traumatic event brought to light revelations that I never would have predicted. Everything fell apart and everything fell into place.

5 Social Media Business Practices That Drive Me Bonkers
As a small business owner, I do three things. I trust my own intuition in how I want to proceed and move forward in my business, I get the proper training to back up my claims, and I use my moral compass in decision-making. Inside that framework, I watch and learn from people I admire, respect, and believe to be reputable AND successful at what they do. My reputation means a lot to me and I value my business ethics.
