The year was 1999, and three dollars was all it cost to buy a kid a ticket to another world. That ticket came in the form of shiny plastic foil wrapped around 11 pieces of cardboard: a Pokemon Trading Card Game Booster Pack. When my parents handed me that first pack, purchased from the game store in the local mall, I don’t think they knew it was a one way ticket. I never left that world of trading cards again, at least not wholly. I was changed by what I found there. Their old son never came back.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic, (even though some elements of it really don't hold up), and Audrey Hepburn manages to both look great in Givenchy couture, and display her range as an actress. Audrey Hepburn was a European with aristocratic origins, but she disappears into the character of Holly Golightly, a very American girl with dubious origins and a dubious profession who lives on the edge of New York Cafe society. But I am not here to recommend the movie that made Audrey Hepburn a cultural touchstone and style icon who transcends classical cinema. Instead, I am here to recommend seven of her films that live in the shadow of Breakfast at Tiffany's.

As little as 3.1% of regular primetime broadcast TV characters have a disability, GLAAD statistics reveal. Although this is a record-high number, it still drastically underrepresents the real numbers (14.1 million people in the UK) of people diagnosed with disabilities. Moreover, while realistic representations of the disabled community are increasing, harmful inaccurate stereotypes are unfortunately still all too common and need addressing.

Movie Review: 'Cruella' is a Feast for the Eyes
Cruella is a punk rock visual fantasia shot through the prism of the Disney empire. Directed by Craig Gillespie, and starring Emma Stone, the film carries a distinctive aesthetic but one wonders what beats beneath the metaphorical chest of this spectacle. Sure, we do have the emotion of yet another dead Disney parent, one killed before our very eyes near the start of the film, but we’ve grown so used to this Disney trope that the impact is relatively minor.

House Of The Dragon: All The Major Characters Confirmed To Appear In The 'Game Of Thrones' Prequel.
While the ending of smash-hit TV series Game Of Thrones remains divisive, most fans of the show were still eager to see more from the world of Westeros, so it came as a disappointment to learn that the first planned prequel, Bloodmoon, failed to get off the ground. Thankfully, there is still hope. A second prequel, House of the Dragon, has received a direct to series order. The series is currently in production, set to air on HBO in 2022.
