Factors That Determine a Healthy and Stable Relationship
Relationships are complex, however, it doesn’t mean partners cannot enjoy their companionship or togetherness. Challenges are part and parcel of relationships since there is no perfect relationship. What matters is not whether relationships are faced with difficulties and uncertainties, but how partners react to the problems that face their relationships.

An Open Letter to My Boyfriend: A Piece of Me
For as long as I can remember, talking to me about my relationships or boyfriends would be like speaking a different language to me. I have never been the girl who believes in fate; I am a realist... far from the kind of girl who believes in love songs, soulmates, or grand romantic gestures, kind of like those gestured by Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother. 😉

This Is Us
When I was younger, I really wanted that “once upon a time,” “happily ever after” relationship. I wanted a “prince charming” to sweep me off my feet and love me unconditionally. I wanted a man who would be patient and kind, just like the Bible says.

I Promise
The waitress took our plates away from us as we sat and talked to one another in the restaurant. It was a small restaurant with dim lighting. An older couple was sitting at the table next to us smiling. Once the waitress was gone, he placed his hand inside his jacket pocket and removed a small box. I smiled from ear to ear, already knowing what it was. He placed the small box in front me saying, “I really don’t know why I’m so nervous about this because I’m not actually proposing to you yet.” For a few minutes, he talked about how much he loved me, how this was our promise to one another that we would stay faithful to each other, and someday marry one another. After that he had me open the box and he placed the ring on my finger. I stared at it smiling. It was a promise ring. A ring that represents a relationship that isn’t quite ready or in our case “too young” for marriage.

The Light, the Dream, and the Woman
Occasionally we all have wonderful dreams. Upon waking remaining with us for a few hours; occupying thoughts the drudge to work, even persisting through the day. Then there are the very rare dreams that strike with a strength that can not be forgotten, seeming to arrive from a place beyond the manifestations of a resting imagination.

Hitting Rock Bottom
Self-Reflection, Anger, and Sadness Three months ago I set out on a journey. I started a "Self-Love" challenge that I was optimistic in beginning, and found myself hopeful for a great end to 2018. The journey was not at all as I expected. The day after publishing my "30 Day Challenge," my boyfriend and I got into one of the only, and worst, fights we had in three years. This resulted in me moving out and back home.

Dropping the "L" Bomb
"I love you." It has been said and expressed to our parents, our siblings, our families, our friends and even our pets. So why is it so hard to say it to someone we look at in a romantic way? Most of us have said "I love you" to a significant other at some point or another in our lifetimes. There's a difference between saying it and meaning it. There's a scary feeling that comes along with it. It's a big step in a relationship and usually occurs at a significant moment. Trying to determine when it's okay or when the right moment is to drop the "L" bomb is nearly impossible. It's different for all relationships.

Soulmates
ᒪEIᒪᗩ As long as I can remember everyone has had half of a necklace, tasked to find their soulmates. My parents found each other, my aunt found her husband all because of the necklaces. Some people say the closer you get to your soulmate the warmer your necklace gets. I guess i'll find out soon enough.
