Emotional intelligence is the capacity to perceive, manage, and harness emotion clearly. Together, mindfulness further enriches emotional intelligence by enhancing the level of internal state awareness. This enhanced self-awareness translated to more carefully considered reactions in my daily life. Whereas mindfulness hones focused awareness and presence, emotional intelligence provides the means to process emotions more effectively, enabling a balanced approach that promotes resilience and empathy, as well as more rewarding interpersonal relationships.
